La Zanzara, hidden among the canals of Volano in Emilia-Romagna, is a small culinary jewel that lies on a small island as a former small fishing station and landing place.

The food is a real concert of local flavors and marine delights. Each dish is prepared with the freshest ingredients and presented with extraordinary care. From first courses to desserts, it is all a triumph of flavors that enhance the culinary tradition of the region. Particular mention goes to the raw fish starter: an assortment of very fresh fish that seems just caught, with flavors that explode in the mouth. A true masterpiece of lightness and delicacy that you wish would never end...

Excellent location, excellent kindness, interesting dishes and delicious cooking. Perfectly paired wine (recommended). Price commensurate with the service and great attention to the health and safety of the customer!!!

This is not the first time we have come to this beautiful restaurant. But this time an extra note of merit as unfortunately my wife and I had to run home immediately after the welcome drink due to a problem with our daughter and all the staff assisted us and understood. Truly Chapeau. We will definitely be back to make it up to you.

A wonderful place. We managed to get in without a reservation by chance, exhausted after a whole day of riding motorcycles, after a dreadful hailstorm that caught us on the way, dressed inappropriately for the venue (for which we deeply apologize), and yet we were treated like royalty. Delicious wine, food, and incredibly professional service. Highly recommended!

We arrived and, besides us, there was only one table occupied. We were shown to our table by the only waitress present. We guessed what it was and sat down.
After a while the menus arrived and the variations and substitutions were hastily indicated. The bread, inside the paper bag, no saucer.
The dishes, left without asking who had what and, above all, without narration, were simple and refined. Good wine service. For a starred one, everything was a little below average.
Maybe we found the wrong day. Prices are very good.
We'll try again!

Il locale è accogliente e curato nei particolari. Personale molto professionale. Abbiamo optato per un antipasto di pesce sia crudo che cotto. Tutto molto buono. Eccezionale l’anguilla ai ferri.

Between a heron and a mallard there is The Mosquito. Nestled in the valleys it is a point of reference for taste. Intimate and intimate environment, very kind staff, these are Chef Sauro's strengths that support a menu worth trying, this space is too reductive to describe it so all you have to do is go there, let time pass and be pampered. There is no shortage of culinary traction, those nostalgic for eel will be grateful for having been there but also those looking for oriental contaminations... 🇯🇵

In questo ristorante è ormai tappa fissa . Menù improntato sulla tradizione , con rivisitazione di alcuni piatti in chiave moderna.
Immancabile il crudo di mare , oscar per la freschezza del pescato e per la sua preparazione. Ottimi i ravioli ripieni e l'anguilla di valle cotto sulla brace (top assoluto).
Come dessert fidatevi , prendeteil mille foglie croccante con crema chantilly e salsa al caramello . Eccezionale.
Carta vini ben fornita con alcune etichette di livello.
Servizio gentile e professionale.
