If it weren't for the Michelin star posted on the door it would be a good restaurant nestled in a fantastic location. There is no doubt about the quality of the food and the preparations but there was nothing that surprised or left its mark as found in other starred restaurants

Location of great impact, inserted in a naturalistic environment in Volano. A farmhouse suspended between the waters is connected to the mainland by a wooden bridge. Everything acquires poetry with the slow rhythm of water. Large room with fireplace furnished in rural style, elegant table setting and subsequent plating. Welcoming, kind and attentive staff. We ate a welcome entrée with cod meatball on chickpea mousse with squid ink, accompanied by welcome bubbles, as an appetizer a warm seafood salad with steamed vegetables and a prawn skewer with a side of broccoli and wasabi sauce, as a second course a mixed fried fish and grilled sea bass with spinach. A good Vernaccia di San Gimignano from the Le Colombaie winery was our wine for the fish lunch. Crème brulèe in a cup offered with coffee. To finish, a nice moment in the sun in excellent company on the outdoor terrace. Beautiful day, lovely day!

Siamo stati in coppia per la prima volta in questo locale, sapevamo da tanto della sua esistenza ma tentennavamo ad andarci. Le aspettative erano alte, e hanno pienamente soddisfatto il nostro palato. Volevamo una degustazione ma è prenotabile solo on Line, quindi abbiamo preso antipasto, primo e secondo secondo i nostri gusti. Siamo partiti con un calice di benvenuto e un entree di radicchio e alici ottima. Come antipasto, zuppetta di cannocchie piccantina e insalata tiepida di mare. Come primi mezze lune al branzino con chorrizo e spaghettoni ai crostacei. Secondo anguilla alla griglia e seppie dondolate. Dolce ganache al cioccolato e frutto della passione e bignè fritti con crema. Tutto ottimo, prezzo importante, fate finta di fare due cene in una, rinunciate il sabato prima e godetevi una cena qui perché merita. Torneremo in un’altra stagione per qualche variazione del menu. Il posto si trova in un posto carino e suggestivo, immerso nella natura, peccato perché la sera che ci siamo stati noi tanto caldo non c'era, neanche all'interno del locale. Piatti buoni. Servizio non da locale stellato, mi aspettavo di più. Conto onesto e in linea con quanto consumato.
