We had a great time. We ate traditional yet innovative dishes. The tartare served on the bone was truly impressive; my son loved it so much he ordered seconds! The atmosphere was very refined and quiet. Wait times were reasonable, and the quality/price ratio was excellent.

Evening with friends, beautiful location, friendly and courteous table service, good first and second mushroom courses, some reservations about the desserts, shame about the price which seemed a bit excessive for the whole group.

By pure chance, during our trip to Liguria, we discovered this restaurant, very close to the highway exit. Surrounded by nature and a peaceful setting, it offers an authentic atmosphere. We enjoyed home-cooked lunch. It was porcini mushroom season: incredibly fresh and perfectly fried, without a trace of grease. The cod deserves a special mention: delicate and exquisite. Don't miss the agnolotti al ragù, a typical local dish. The service was friendly and professional.

This restaurant is located just outside the Ovada toll booth, nestled in its own small woodland. Piedmontese tradition is fully respected, using top-quality ingredients. The restaurant's interior is a museum worth the trip, while in the summer, guests can dine al fresco. A must-see for anyone in the area at lunchtime.

Dopo che il Puny la lasciato dobbiamo fare i conti con i figli. Il pranzo e stato assai buono con l'antipasto di salumi vari di qualità, il primo di riso gratinato al forno con crostacei e il gelato ai frutti di bosco. Buon timorasso 2023 a tutto pasto. In accompagnamento al gelato Piccolit collio. Caffè buono e cognac altrettanto (Gabriel et Andreu 1973). Un appunto alla pasticceria secca offerta: moscia e secondo me rafferma. Un elogio allo chef Mattia Murchio, uomo non diplomatico, e fin troppo. Ma generoso, simpatico e leale. Mi ha offerto un distillato alle rose mentre io gli esponevo le mie critiche. In definitiva, locale ok, ma attenzione alle critiche. Non sono accettate. Ancora un encomio allo chef Mattia che ha saputo magistralmente accogliere l'eredità del padre, Stefano, con il quale io ho interloquito per più e più anni. Una raccomandazione per le sorelle di Mattia: il cliente ha sempre ragione (inteso nell'ottica giusta).

Ottimo ristorante con piatti molto particolari e ottimamente cucinati. Dall tartare di carne con il suo midollo, le uova, gli gnocchi al nero con ripieno di cacio e pepe e gamberi rossi.. ottimo servizio attento ma mai invadente. Molto consigliato se vi trovate in zona.

Antica Trattoria dei Cacciatori

13/09/2025: We're in Piedmont, but the tradition is that of the Ligurian hinterland. This historic restaurant dates back to the late 19th century, a traditional Genoese trattoria now renovated with a touch of class in the dining room and kitchen. The green fetuccine with mushroom sauce is exactly what you dream of finding in a place like this: thin, with a sauce that you appreciate first for its aroma and then for its taste. Pansotti revisited with a lovely blend of herbs, perfect mushroom-style mushrooms, and an innovative and flavorful duck breast. The menu offers many dishes, and a special mention goes to the breadsticks and the three types of bread served at the table, all undoubtedly homemade. A pleasant surprise, definitely worth traveling a few kilometers to visit. There aren't many places like this in Liguria; I can only think of two others!
