La Volpina In Ovada

Chosen randomly as a stop on the way back from the sea, we expected, given the first photos on Google, a sort of old-fashioned but still genuine restaurant/trattoria. We were pleasantly surprised to find a cool and cozy outdoor area surrounded by greenery with elegant gazebos finely set with silver cutlery. The proposed menu is: varied, new, fresh and super inviting; refined, genuine and tasty at first reading. Embarrassed in the choice because everything seems delicious and actually is. Balanced taste and excellent quality, but mouth-watering and delicious. Generous portions, fair prices and absolutely average but for a truly superior quality. Well done, definitely recommended!

What a nice surprise!! Dishes that speak Ligurian, such as the mandilli with pesto and Piedmontese such as the revisited vitel tonne', have pleasantly won us over. The agnolotti with Genoese tucu' were excellent, the suckling pig was excellent and it looked like a painting! Well done guys, you won us over...and then with that beautiful wall outside the kitchen that you look at as soon as you arrive...we didn't doubt for a moment😉 see you soon!!!

Very very good food, we were so happy to be spoiled with fantastic gamberi and excuisite filetto Di manzo. We will come back next year!

Spectacular food, with really good cannelloni and agnolotti. Slightly high prices and not excessive quantities. The cured meats and rabbit are also excellent as starters

Just outside the Ovada toll booth, you will find this family-run restaurant which has been present in the area for more than 40 years. The place is enchanting, surrounded by nature, well cared for both inside and outside. Cleanliness is a further strong point of the place, bathrooms polished to a mirror and the internal room, despite being empty, beautifully kept. Being geographically located almost on the border between two regions, the cuisine takes Piedmontese and Ligurian elements at the same time and blends them into original and tasty dishes. We were travelling, we didn't want to weigh ourselves down, so we enjoyed the delicious maltagliati with pesto with potatoes and green beans, delicate but at the same time fragrant and intense. The courtesy at the service completes the picture. Despite the 100-odd km distance, we decided to return to deepen our knowledge of the menu and the wine list which is very promising.

We didn't know the place and it was a nice surprise. Nice place just outside Ovada, a short distance from the A26 motorway. Excellent a la carte menu, excellent service. We will definitely be back and I recommend anyone who is passing through to take the opportunity to try it.

Potato molto carino alla uscita del casello di Ovada. Ciò e mangiare a casa della nonna. Meno gustoso e prezzi ragionevoli. Servizio gentile ma sicuramente lento. È un posto dove non si può andare in fretta. Favoloso il coniglio in porchetta. Assaggio di formaggi molto vario e generoso. Ti danno un entre e dei biscotti con il caffè. Merita la pena. Abbiamo pagato una media di 50€/ persona.

Piacevolissima esperienza di ritorno dal mare della Liguria Accogliente ristorante a gestione famigliare nella casa di famiglia posta all’interno di un piacevole e tranquillo giardino facilmente raggiungibile a pochi metri dall’uscita della autostrada. Staff tutto di famiglia molto friendly! Ottimi piatti ben cucinati ampia scelta di primi e secondi di carne Gnocchetti di zucca da farci la scarpetta….tagliolini freschi ai funghi…antipasto di salumi con il lardo protagonista con miele e castagne…tiramisù Buono il rapporto qualità prezzo Sicuramente da riprovare
