La Vecchia Terrazza In Ostuni

It occurred to me that I had eaten at this restaurant on four occasions and hadn't posted a review. Perhaps this was down to the fact that a decent restaurant in Ostuni is a rarity, (so many being aimed at the tourist who would never return anyway) that perhaps, subconsciously, I was keen to keep this place as my little secret! However, that's scarcely fair is it? Anyway, in simple terms, it's a great place and an honest restaurant serving excellent food (and with a decent wine list as well). I have also looked at the criticisms of the place and would have to disagree. Obviously people can make mistakes and things can go wrong. Yes, the tables are a bit close together and you have to book early to get a position alongside the view ... but really, what's the big deal. At heart you have a couple trying hard to offer good food at a perfectly acceptable price and long may this continue. I will be back and I'm already looking forward to it.

Una joya de un restaurante con una vista preciosa, tomamos una maravillosa clase de cocina donde hicimos la pasta de orecchiette regional. Los propietarios Alfonso y Adrianna son cálidos y amables, y fueron muy pacientes con nuestras habilidades tanto para hacer pasta y postre. Nos hicieron sentir como en familia e hicieron que la clase de cocina fuera muy divertida. Las salsas de pasta de Alfonso eran ligeras, llenas de rico sabor a tomate y bellamente presentadas. Recomiendo encarecidamente la clase de cocina y el restaurante.

Really welcoming place and very suggestive view, we had a divine dinner on the outdoor terrace where the environment remains very intimate and silent. The highly qualified staff and the chef joined us several times in the room, personally taking care of our satisfaction and thanks to his availability, we were able to taste excellent food, adapting it to our needs (intolerances and allergies). Our dinner was served on time, with very original dishes with typical and fresh flavours. All of excellent quality. We will definitely return, also because we know: we always return to where we had a good time ✨🥂

Very, very nice little restaurant, quiet, a little away from the historic center. The food is delicious and the staff are very friendly. The setting, with the vaulted ceiling, is pleasant. To have a table with a panoramic view, it is advisable to book. In short, you will not be disappointed!

ATTENTION! Don't go there if you intend to order less than two courses including starters, first courses and second courses. According to restaurant regulations, you must order at least two courses among these, have appropriate clothing and make sure that children do not make a mess. - Unique location - Excellent service despite some contact problems between the waiter (with commands it) and the kitchen. - Food a little disappointing. Cheesecake with sponge cake (?) and supermarket smoked salmon. Bruschetta with untoasted bread. The picture is saved by a very good duck breast and two overall good steaks (one salmon and one tuna). - Bill higher than expected, however not justified by the quality of the food. Is it the tourist area?

Absolutely impeccable. The food was excellent, the staff very professional. The manager bent over backwards to accommodate all my requests. The outdoor room is air conditioned which is very pleasant. Affordable rates A big thank you to the whole team.

Dinner with friends on holiday, excellent top quality food, especially the tuna tartare. Too bad for the lack of wines compared to those displayed on the menu. Excellent price. Highly recommended place.

Great service, individual approach to the client, great atmosphere, amazing music that matches the atmosphere. In my opinion, one of the better restaurants even by Italian standards. Be sure to try the appetizer, slow-cooked octopus, ravioli ♥️ and soufflé desserts and Ferre Roche.

We stopped for lunch and had pizza and salads (and a bottle of Fiano). It’s a great spot on one of the main piazzas in Monopoli. We’d recommend it.

We went to this place on August 15th for dinner, therefore on August 15th. Despite the "celebration" moment, the place was full enough and there was no chaos. Cozy terrace, good food and super nice staff especially the blonde waitress. Advised!
