One of the precious places that have resisted the winds of change at all costs, with the concrete risk of losing their history and authenticity. Great people, women and men who, thanks to the fire of an intense passion, combined with a strong sense of their roots and the territory, have continued to pursue their dreams and projects. Their tenacity, perseverance, and above all the quality of their food is now recognized and rewarded. The many enthusiasts of authentic cuisine, the tourists who love the places and want to immerse themselves in the joy of dishes cooked with love, knowledge, and great craftsmanship, finally pay their respects. The work of cooking is hard and difficult, the welcome simple and sincere, a complicated and not always recognized art. Vilma, like her teacher Gemma di Roddino, and others scattered throughout this magical territory, are the milestones, the safe havens of food that excites and makes you happy. Kilometers are details when the destination is important, but today, with the valley floor, everything is simpler. We've been to this beautiful osteria several times, in different seasons, with the autumn mist, the warmth of the stove, the scent of truffles, and recently in the height of summer with a group of friends, some producers from the Langhe and Roero, for those shared lunches that will live forever in our memories. A traditional menu featuring our and Vilma's favorite dishes, starting with the Lele, the scent of toasted bread that takes us back to childhood, the cured meats, the Russian salad, the unrivaled and unique anchovies, the raw meat with black Langhe truffle, the cheese fritters, followed by the strictly homemade ravioli, and the rabbit, whose recipe is a family secret and is worth the trip alone. Then the traditional sweet bunets and stuffed peaches, and the fisa music of the great maestro Valter Porro. On this occasion, we were fortunate enough to sample the best wines from the Langhe, Roero, and Monferrato regions, but the Vecchia Osteria cellar has excellent labels at fair prices. A dream place. Clean, welcoming, and full of charm, with a warm, sincere welcome that makes you feel at home and in the right place. A dream kitchen where you discover authentic flavors, seasonality, the chef's secrets, and above all, a lot of passion. A place not to be missed. The prices are truly fair. We can't wait to return. We happened to be in the small village by chance and yesterday we stopped to grab a bite to eat. Nice place and a nice place outside (where we sat). The person who welcomed us also took care of bringing a large bowl of water for our 3 dogs. The food brought to the table was of good quality. In my opinion, the desserts (only 2) were not sweet enough. I found the bill a little high, considering what we ate. I have a note to make. It would be good, when seating people, to explain how the service will be carried out, instead of arriving directly with the appetizers. Without saying anything, we would have found ourselves with the entire tasting menu. My husband didn't dare say anything, so I had to play the role of the unpleasant one and stop everything. Just this little trick.

Lele very polite, friendly and welcoming staff in the kitchen and in the dining room. They are set to make you feel comfortable, with a space that allows you to savor every course. Some of which are notable: cured meats and meat tartare, for example. Or tagliatelle with meat sauce. Care and research at the highest levels. Abundant servings, even too much: this is the sore point. Because it is impossible to skip courses, and if you want to taste everything you end up overdoing it. But for a full immersion in typical Langhe cuisine, it is the right place.

19/10/2025: A truly delightful place! The atmosphere is welcoming, with beautiful brick walls and a modern touch. The service is attentive and friendly—you truly feel pampered. The dishes are delicious, prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The tagliolini with truffles were simply exceptional! A restaurant you'll always want to return to.
20/09/2025: We stopped for dinner, reminiscing about 4 restaurants at Borghese. It was a pleasant surprise, both for the location and the high quality of the food... everything typical of the Langhe, from the plin to the tajaret... including the Fassona beef and the desserts... everything absolutely top-notch. Pleasant and attentive service. Truffles available upon request for 10 euros per dish.
