You eat very well. The years go by and you eat even better. And with spring a new menu with exceptional dishes. The summer is ending but the dishes at the Vecchia Lira are still exceptional, you must try Ravioli with Eggplants Tortelli with Ricotta Black Spaghetti with Sea Urchin Ravioli with Monkfish. The winter menu is excellent, the Terrine of Livers is special, the Tagliatelle with Roe Deer and Chestnuts and what can I say, you eat it WELL Spring Lunch Tartar of Amberjack Tagliatelle with Amberjack and Leek and Tiramisu (exceptional dishes) Congratulations

What can I say... truly excellent restaurant, top quality raw materials. We had dinner on Saturday night with a reservation and we left with a smile. Excellent timing with the service. From the owner, the chef and the guys, there is all the professionalism you look for in a restaurant.
I forgot to take photos of the desserts and the pappardelle with wild boar, but go directly so you can see them and try them for yourself ☺️

A good option for lunch and dinner in Volterra. The place is clean, the service is fast, the staff is friendly and the food is delicious. We ate meat and picci, both were good. Prices are around 15-20 Euros per plate as of March 2025.

Even though it appears to be a tourist place, I have to admit that the food was very good.
Excellent staff and very nice owner, they found us a place even though there was a problem with the reservation and the place was full.

Tutto buonissimo, non c’è che dire! La tartare freschissima e genuina, il condimento era a parte in modo da far apprezzare il gusto della carne. Ottima anche la carne cotta. Poi ho provato per la prima volta l’aglione e devo dire che mi è piaciuto molto! Personale molto gentile. Ambiente verace, da trattoria. Buonissimi anche i dolci e prezzi nella media.

Locale nel centro di Volterra, pulito ma spartano. A parte l’attesa per sedersi nonostante la prenotazione per il mancato rispetto degli orari di prenotazione, e’ da apprezzare la gentilezza e cordialità del titolare. Una buona e varia offerta di piatti. Buona la zuppa che abbiamo mangiato.
Nel complesso e’ stato un buon pranzo ed il prezzo pagato e’ stato onesto e corretto
