I met a soul. Unique. Resplendent. Her eyes have the decisive sweetness that emerges from those who have experienced pain. Her smile tastes of sea and salt...but sweet. Impossible. But true. We searched for hours for a place to eat and spend an evening of our own. Only ours. We weren't looking for fireworks, but warmth. And typical dishes. We found both. Alone. No one in the dining room. Because of the time, 10:30 PM. The chef, Michele, smiled at us and with his simplicity confirmed that he had welcomed us into our restaurant. He immediately recommended the freshest of the day. The lobster pot shrimp, with pistachio pesto, were a poem for the palate, the linguine with clams was the sea on a plate. The wine was nectar with the contrasts of our land. Orange blossom and almonds with the minerality of the limestone of the Marzamemi area. The chef's love and simplicity are found on the dishes and in his genuine smile as he tells stories among the tables. I left a piece of me there, as happens on the rare occasions when I enjoy intimate, good and sincere moments.

The ricotta ravioli and pork in sauce are excellent! You can taste the flavors of grandma's cooking, the sauce is real home-made, where you can't help but mop up the sauce! And the ricotta...simply delicious! The service is attentive, friendly, and helpful! I'll be back.

Today we had lunch at this trattoria. We were welcomed by Michele, the chef, who accompanied us throughout the meal, explaining the dishes, the products used, and the wines.
Unfortunately, I didn't take photos. We had a delicious and rich house appetizer, followed by the first courses, both generous and with excellent sauces (cavati with pork sauce, casarecce with Sicilian pesto).
Here you'll find quality, fair prices, kindness, and customer service. We'll be back.
I forgot...we were able to bring our dog, and that's an added bonus for us. Thanks again.

In the tidy and pleasant town of Avola, we stumbled upon this restaurant through Google reviews (new times do have their advantages). As mentioned, it's somewhat unassuming, located on the outskirts of town, but we ate there twice, and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. The restaurant was clean and modern, and the owner was very accommodating.
