La Vecchia Fontana In Avola

I was looking for a restaurant where I could eat well and rest while I was travelling, it couldn't have gone better. The food was delicious, both the Trapani-style pesto that my girlfriend had, the dessert and even the wine, but the real delight was the pasta with pork ragù, with a piece of meat that melted in your mouth and with a flavor that, as they say in my area, "felt like sugar", incredible! All thanks to Michele, the chef, who in addition to cooking very well, was extremely kind and helpful from the moment we arrived, giving us a family lunch. The next time I pass through Avola I will have no doubts about where to go! I give five stars because there is no sixth!

Excellent typical cuisine, abundant dishes and wide choice

It is a simple and unpretentious establishment. The food was delicious, we ordered some cuttlefish ravioli in its ink and they were magnificent. Very attentive and friendly and a very quiet and pleasant area.

Great food with excellent value for money. Well done. On January 14th for lunch I had a truly excellent grilled sea bass and spaghetti with clams.

Es hat sich verändert, leider in die falsche Richtung....... nur noch (bestenfalls!!) Durchschnitt, schade, denn im April hat es noch anderes ausgesehen. Gestört hat auch die undurchsichtige Rechnungstellung am Schluss!

This is a simple local trattoria with good, fresh food. We had an early lunch - fresh traditional pasta. Card payment accepted.

One of the best restaurants in Sicily, unmissable if you are near Avola. Excellent service and chef at the level of a 7 star restaurant. He explained every dish we tried and every ingredient. It was a wonderful experience in every way.
