La Torretta In Spoleto

My girlfriend and I went to this nice restaurant during our weekend in Spoleto. The outdoor location is very beautiful, in fact it overlooks a small balcony from which you could enjoy the sunset and a beautiful view of the city. The staff immediately proved friendly and welcoming. We ordered a platter of local cured meats and cheeses, some delicious local sausages and one of their local pastas, strangozzi alla spoletina, seasoned with chilli garlic and chopped tomatoes, very tasty and strong. Finally we ordered two desserts: their typical chocolate cake and a puff pastry covered in hot cream and berries. It was all delicious and fresh topped off with a pleasant view. I would give some advice: when bringing the cold cuts platter, I would describe the cured meats brought and their history so as to make you appreciate the local traditions even more. If you are looking for a traditional restaurant with a touch of elegance this restaurant is the right place.

Impeccable restaurant. We had lunch here as a stopover after a visit to Spoleto. Excellent first courses with excellent truffles; The mixed starters were delicious. The staff is highly competent.

Nice place, top welcome, excellent food

We stayed in Spoleto for ten days in April 2024 on the first leg of a month long visit to Italy. We dined at La Torretta on the recommendation of our nearby B&B and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is on a quiet street about a ten minute walk from our B&B and quite close to the Corso Mazzini shopping street. We were warmly greeted on arrival and seated at a corner table (number 7) in the second of two comfortable dining rooms. We shared one appetizer (a hot and cold sampler), one first course (chitarrini pasta with wild asparagus) and one main course (rabbit with a side order of grilled vegetables) and all were nicely plated and really delicious! Our meal was complemented with a bottle of local Montefalco Sagrantino wine and concluded with a serving of Spoleto cake which we also shared. Overall, it was a wonderful dinner and so we decided to return for a second dinner on our final night in Spoleto; we were again delighted with our dining experience. We highly recommend La Torretta for the excellence of its food, atmosphere and service, all graciously provided and at a reasonable price.

Excellent restaurant with Umbrian cuisine well made with local products

There are not 6 stars, otherwise it would have also deserved the sixth... Fabulous experience! Stefano and his staff are extremely professional and know how to do their job really well! Excellent quality food... I haven't eaten like this in years. Their passion in this work can be seen from everything and I must say that being in this place moved me so much! Well done, good, good. Wine list rightly focused on the territory and excellent Sagrantino consumed for dinner. I could write for hours but I would say SENSATIONAL experience, I think it's enough to convince readers to go to this restaurant. Thank you all again for the experience!!!!

We had dinner last night (29.06.24) in this restaurant. Fantastic experience, excellent traditional dishes in a refined environment with professional and attentive service. We hope to return to Spoleto soon!
