La Torre di Lavello In Tuscania

Excellent restaurant opposite the ancient tower of Lavello. Not to be missed.

The place where I ate best on my entire vacation!

Dishes that are pleasant to look at and full of flavour, very kind staff

We went into La Torre de Lavello because we hadn't eaten there on all our previous visits to Tuscany. It was very hot this summer of 2026, and my husband thought the place looked beautiful. He and his friend were dying for one of those enormous Florentine pastas. I opted for just a caccio e peppe. It took ages, really ages, to get our food, even though the place wasn't packed. The owner was certainly very kind, but when the Florentine finally arrived, it was cold 🥶 and as hard as a rock, with absolutely no flavor—not even a hint of salt. My husband and his friend didn't even say anything because they were starving. Thankfully, my pasta was nice and hot and delicious. To be honest, for that price we paid, our experience wasn't entirely good and I don't think we'll go back on our next visit to Tuscania, even though the restaurant is quite nice.

The waitress was rude and rushed us from the moment we arrived! No courtesy or welcome! I had a good first course, but the rest of the shared appetizers were average, nothing exceptional. The bill was steep! Given the price, food, location, and service, I wouldn't return.

We were passing through Tuscania and stumbled upon this trattoria, without a reservation. The girl was kind and seated us. There were almost no one there. Three tables. The food was average, but the standard ravioli were nothing special. The roast potatoes were excellent, and they were beautifully done.

Great welcome, great service, great food. Fair price.

We found typical flavors with sophisticated combinations, and the atmosphere is very intimate, ideal for a romantic dinner.

We took the prosciutto and zucchini flower starters and for the main the mushroom pasta. The prosciutto was incredible but the zucchini flower left much to be desired. The mushroom pasta was so inedible my fiancé and I both took one bite and decided to get the check. The waitress realised this and asked about it. We told her it was no good way to much salt. They took it and told the chef but still made us pay for it. All in all an expensive mistake going here. I wish we had picked somewhere else for dinner

I was delighted with this restaurant. The staff were super friendly, very professional, and attentive to the customer. The food and service were excellent, and the terrace was charming. I highly recommend it. Sorry I didn't take any photos.
