Following the Routard's recommendation, we went to La Tinaia.
We didn't wait to get a seat at the time we arrived, around 7 p.m. 😅 with the English tourists.
We ordered limoncello spritzes, not bad but strong if you haven't eaten anything beforehand 🫣
We ordered pasta alla vongole and pasta alla lemona.
The lemon pasta was very good, however, the pasta alla vongole didn't live up to the others we'd tried on the island. It tasted like pasta with a little oil and mussels.
For dessert, we had a lemon delight, which you wouldn't get up to eat at night.
We felt like it was a factory; the waiters were quick to clear away, but we hadn't even said thank you before they left.

This is the busiest place in town. Italians usually eat late but to get in they are going early, the place is packed by 8pm. They take your name and you can wait outside, looked like a 30-40 min wait. They do takeaway pizzas & you don’t have to wait as long, they discount the by €2 so 2pizzas cost us €11… bargin and best pizza I’ve had (though I’m not a lover of pizza) these were not soggy, dough light & toppings tasty.
The rest of the menu sounded great, the only place that did risotto but I didn’t want to wait that long. They don’t take reservations just just come & see

I had lunch here with my wife and daughter and we were extremely impressed. We ordered two dishes of scialatelli alla siciliana and one dish of ziti al sugo con braciola; we were about to order more but the waiter kindly told us to wait, that these were almost one-dish meals (he was right). Both dishes were daily offers. The Scialatelli, a fresh pasta about one-third shorter than spaghetti, was with olives, capers, tomatoes and diced swordfish. The swordfish was perfectly cooked and it was a lot, basically a whole portion. A wonderful dish with bold flavours. The Ziti, a bigger short pasta, was with a braciola, a pork roll with filling that's cooked in tomato sauce, and obviously the sauce. Having lived in Naples for a few years I had quite a few of these and I can say this was likely the best. The braciola was melt-in-mouth tender (a typical was this dish can fail is that the braciola gets dry) and the sauce was super tasty and had just the right amount of cheese in it. Both dishes were huge, with tons of meat, and after cleaning the plates with some bread we were full. We still ordered some desserts out of gluttony, a cheesecake, an ice cream and a sorbet. They were all great.
With two bottles of water, a beer, a digestive and service we spent 79 euros. I can't recommend this place enough.

Fantastic place in Forio, food was great, service super fast, waiters very kind to accommodate us in the last free table. The place was full with locals, which means a lot regarding the quality of the food.

A wonderful discovery, this family-run restaurant is frequented by a majority of locals.
Everything is delicious, from starter to dessert. The ingredients are fresh and homemade. The bread is homemade and comes from the bakery. Try the lemon pasta, it's delicious, and their Delizio al Liliane for dessert. The service is very fast. The bill is more than reasonable. I recommend it if you're in Forio.
