La Terrazza del Chiostro In Pienza

The terrace view alone is worth the visit — absolutely stunning. The olive oil served with the bread was a real highlight, so flavorful. For starters, we had an unusual dish: a very slowly cooked egg with a kind of cheese foam (interesting but tasty!) and a salad. For mains, we ordered the T-bone steak, which was excellent and came with roasted vegetables, as well as pasta with truffle — also very good. For dessert, the pavlova was a bit disappointing as the meringue wasn’t right, but the caramel-filled cannolo was delicious. We paired everything with a Pinot Grigio, which was a great choice. The service was warm and attentive throughout. It was my father’s birthday, and they surprised him with a candle and “buon compleanno” written on the plate — such a lovely touch. Overall, a beautiful place with excellent food and service.

I can’t understand why this restaurant doesn’t have a 5.0 rating! The setting is spectacular with a terrace overlooking the hills and valley below, the food wonderful, and the service was a highlight of the restaurant part of our week in Italy. Two very capable young brothers keep the place humming and keep the humour flowing. They work for their uncle who owns the restaurant. This is a family business that deserves recognition for great food and service in a stunning location

We loved this restaurant! They put us at a romantic table with a breathtaking view, fast service, all the food was delicious, we had the cacio e pepe first course which I highly recommend, but the highlight was the Fiorentina! Cooked beautifully! The meat was excellent, they welcomed our dog like a son, playing with him all the time and immediately brought him fresh water and treats, the waiter from Morocco served us, a wonderful, competent and professional person, he was able to advise us and listen to our requests, soft atmosphere with very welcome background music, I recommend!

We celebrated our anniversary here and had a wonderful time. The Fiorentina steak was excellent, they took great care of our food intolerances, and the view was spectacular. A special experience we'll remember!

We stopped for a quick lunch and only had the first course, excellent pici cacio e pepe. The view from the terrace where we ate was spectacular.

In short, everything was perfect, as always! It's a regular stop for us every time we're in the area 🍽️

Pasé por aquí para cenar mientras veía la puesta de sol sobre el valle de la Toscana - era hermoso. Se trata de una creativa cena italiana en un monasterio del siglo XV con vistas al valle desde mesas de jardín. El personal era muy amable y mostrar mucho respeto y siempre tenía una sonrisa en su cara. El filete de florence era fantástico pero un poco pequeño para lo que pagaste. Los pequeños aperitivos salieron gratis y se veían elegantes, pero eran un poco insípidos. La ensalada estaba bastante bien y tomamos las verduras a la parrilla para ir con él. El plan era compartir algunos platos para probar la cocina - yo diría que era un poco pequeño para lo que pagaste.
