Excellent lunch in a characteristic place in Amalfi

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an amazing dinner at La Taverna di Masaniello! The food was delicious and fresh, but what stood out most was the warmth of the staff. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. At the end of our meal, the gentleman who brought our bill took the time to ask about our trip—how long we’d been in Amalfi, if it was our first visit—and it felt like he genuinely cared. That kind of hospitality makes such a difference. You can tell they take pride in what they do and truly value their guests. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Amalfi!

Best lasagna I have ever had. Good value for money. Friendlier staff would have made a 5 star review.

Ravioli were very tasty and also delicia di limone. They said dessert was homemade but we saw in the fridge while paying it was bought from store. But it was still tasty. They were very nice to us.

Lovely food, very good service, atmospheric interior and location.

We came into Amalfi around 15:00 and this was one of the only places we found open for food. The food was good and the Bruschetta was the best we had in Amalfi.

The restaurant's location, charmingly tucked into a corner of the street, drew us in. Colorful tables and chairs. The service was friendly; the chef himself came out with a smile to explain that the bread was fresh from a nearby bakery. It was a nice touch! Unfortunately, the calamari (seen in the photo) was terribly rubbery and tasteless… A huge disappointment. And a very small portion, too. It was a bit difficult to communicate with the lady serving us. The calamari I received should have been a main course, but it looked like a starter. What a shame. Meanwhile, a very drunk owner appeared between the tables, trying to take orders from other guests. Strange. The rest of the staff was very friendly.

I had the mussels in tomato sauce as an appetizer. The flavor was very good, and they came with bread. For an appetizer, the portion was very large and beautifully presented. I recommend it!

Arrivati ad Amalfi, visto il meteo e l'ora abbiamo deciso di fermarci a pranzare e poi proseguire la nostra passeggiata. Locale piccolo ma carino, pranzo buono ma quello che mi ha infastidito molto è stato il comportamento del proprietario. Davanti alla clientela non si possono rimproverare i propri dipendenti definendoli incapaci solo perché hanno portato del pane ad un tavolo..anche perché è vero che la clientela è fatta al 90% di stranieri, ma il 10 % è clientela italiana che conosce la lingua italiana! E poi caro signor proprietario non puoi pagarti €3,50 di coperto e non mettere il pane. Quello va in automatico...non puoi dire al tuo dipendente incolpandolo (che poi non è stato nemmeno lui) che non doveva permettersi di mettere il pane al tavolo perché poi la gente rompe pretendendo olio e aceto per assaggiare il pane...ma stiamo scherzando?? Ieri avevo voglia di alzarmi e di andare via con la mia famiglia..non l'ho fatto SOLO per rispetto ai suoi dipendenti perché lavorano grazie alla clientela, perché se non ci fosse quella avrebbe chiuso da tempo.. quindi un consiglio da umile cliente pugliese che pensa che i campani sono ospitali come i pugliesi, come le ho detto il pranzo da lei è molto buono, il locale è veramente delizioso, ma non rovini tutto con la sua arroganza.
