La Taverna di Masaniello In Amalfi

04/10/2025: The food, service, and view are excellent. There are several tasting menus to choose from as well as à la carte and the wine list is well conceived and well priced. The entrance to the restaurant is a bit strange, as it is a hotel and the restaurant is down one floor from the lobby. Unfortunately, there was no one to greet us when we arrived, but we found our way. The one issue we had was the room itself. While the view is incomparable, the decor is dated and a bit sterile. Feels more like a wedding hall than a Michelin star restaurant. Once the tables filled in, it was a bit warmer, but the room could really stand a makeover. Food has a decidedly French flair and everything was perfectly cooked, perfectly served, and beautifully explained. Overall very enjoyable.

28/09/2025: La Serra made our anniversary in Positano unforgettable. The staff was warm, welcoming, and kindly spoke English. We had the seafood tasting menu with wine pairing—every course was exceptional, and the sommelier’s knowledge and presentation were outstanding. The view from the dining room was absolutely breathtaking, and the team even helped arrange transport back afterward. A perfect evening in every way!
