All duck based, good food, plentiful. Small but welcoming, the owner makes sure you eat otherwise he'll make you cook something else 😁😁. We had a very good time.

Lunch for two. Abundant and more than sufficient starters, with excellent quality. I recommend the polenta with bacon and broccoli and the stuffed baked potato. Two first courses with excellent wild boar sauce. Beautiful country cuisine like your grandmother made it. From slipper! He is a very nice character and his daughter is also very courteous and kind. We'll be back.

If you are in Apice Vecchio to visit the Castle and the abandoned village, you can stop peacefully in this rustic-style tavern. Giulio will welcome you with a smile and accompany you on a gastronomic journey with zero centimeter products. The problem is that there is no menu, and the prices are therefore unclear. We start with a large and tasty 'appetizer', consisting of hot dishes, based on vegetables, various meats and soups, and a plate of cured meats and cheeses. Followed by a first course tasting, all enjoyed with a wine (nothing special). It's difficult to move forward with how much you eat... Bill of €30 per person, water and bitters included, but without receipt. A bit of a leap into the past, for better or for worse.

Fixed menu dinner, from starter to dessert, all very good and well seasoned. I recommend it!
