As we first got to Montalcino, it was pouring rain. It was a very long road trip for us, we were tired and by the time we found this place (one of the few opened. yes, we were very late for lunch) we were soaking wet. It was literally a peace of heaven for us. The food and the people there were incredible! It was just a woman and a guy but they were very efficient. It was my first Tuscan tomato soup and boy! I dream about it everyday by now!! The desert didn’t disappoint. The wine was flawless. The moment was unforgettable! We went in cold as popsicles and went out warm as an expresso.

A tavern along Montalcino's main street, offering outdoor dining options. The cuisine is traditional and excellently prepared. A wide selection of Tuscan wines, including some exceptional national wines, is available. A must-visit if you're in Montalcino. The entire staff is always available and attentive to customer needs.

A restaurant in the heart of Montalcino. The waiter's friendliness was immediately appreciated. The service was quick and ideal for an unpretentious dinner. We ordered schiacciata and porchetta. While the schiacciata lived up to expectations, the porchetta wasn't as good, and its rather strong flavor didn't help matters. On a positive note, the excellent wine was served at a reasonable price.

We ate well. The menu offers traditional Tuscan dishes, simply but carefully prepared. We had homemade pici with ragù (perhaps wild boar, I don't remember), which were very good, as was the pappa al pomodoro, which was flavorful and well-made. The Tuscan tartare, with egg yolk and truffle, was interesting and beautifully presented.
We accompanied our meal with two glasses of Brunello, a perfect pairing. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the service overall was attentive.
The only slightly negative note: our table was located near the café area, so there was a constant flow of waiters, making the atmosphere a bit uncomfortable.
Overall, a positive experience with good overall quality.

The concept is quite interesting. On one side of the street, you have the travern where the dishes and soft drinks come from, and on the other side of the street, a fairly comprehensive wine library where the wines by the glass come from. We were therefore on a terrace in a fairly lively street. No reservation required, we found a table for 4 immediately. Value for money is average, nothing transcendent, it's okay. On the other hand, in terms of service, there is room for improvement, poor note-taking when ordering, so we forgot our appetizers and dishes were served directly. We also had a rather heated argument between a waitress and a member of the kitchen, we are in Italy but hey, it's not a good look.

We stumbled upon this place spontaneously and ate outside—a truly beautiful spot in the middle of Montalcino. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the pasta! Everything seemed fresh and homemade. The service was incredibly friendly and relaxed—we immediately felt at home.

We stopped in this lovely restaurant one evening just for an aperitif! Fascinated by the typical Tuscan menu, we had to stay for dinner, and I can honestly say, it exceeded our expectations! I recommend you try the pasta with wild boar meat sauce! (handmade)

Di passaggio a Montalcino cerchiamo un posto dove mangiare e ci incuriosisce il menù esposto di questo locale, scegliamo un antipasto GRAN BAIETTO, buono ma forse un po' esagerato nel prezzo 35,00€ anche se i prodotti erano buoni non è proprio un prezzo leggero. I primi deludenti, i pici al tartufo completamente insapori il riso allo zafferano secco e asciutto da non riuscire a finirlo. Esperienza sicuramente non esaltante
