Slightly touristy menu. Some dishes needed improvement (the pici were all broken), others were great classics (e.g. Tuscan platter). Great offer for wine tastings and competitive prices in Montalcino. As for the service, a little slow, but the guys are always nice and kind.

Eravamo capitati a Montalcino in tarda mattinata, e visitando il centro ci è venuta voglia di mangiare un panino al volo per poi ripartire verso altre destinazioni. Vedendo esposta la proposta di questa taverna, ci siamo incuriositi e alla fine abbiamo ordinato 3 panini, tutti diversi tra loro. Dire che erano fenomenali è dire poco: caldi, croccanti, materie prime buonissime, gusto strepitoso. Abbiamo preso un panino anche in un altro posto a Montalcino ma questi erano senza dubbio di un altro livello. Ritorneremo senz’altro appena avremo la possibilità! Grazie mille, e ancora una volta erano strepitosi!

I was lucky enough to try both the wine tasting in the afternoon, which proved to be an excellent introduction to the place, and the wild boar stew dinner. The meat was very tender and the Brunello recommended by the owner was simply perfect. The atmosphere is welcoming and familiar, and the service is impeccable. I add praise to the owner who turned out to be a real host.

Cozy place. Lunch with tasting of different vintages of Brunello. We really appreciated the competence and courtesy of the staff. Excellent cured meats, lights and selections of local desserts.
No difficulty entering with our dog.

Siamo stati in questo locale nel centro storico di Montalcino per un pranzo veloce a base di Brunello. Titolare disponibile che ci ha fatto velocemente accomodare, servizio rapido e preciso. il menù prevedeva oltre ai classici primi taglieri etc anche delle degustazioni, io ho ovviamente optato x un tris composto da un rosso e due Brunello,il tutto accompagnato da un ottimo tagliere. Prodotti gustosi, cantina super fornita dove si possono acquistare i vini degustati, rapporto qualità prezzo davvero buono. X chi vuole provare l'ebrezza di un assaggio di Brunello senza doversi svenare assolutamente consigliato
