It's there that I rediscover the authentic flavors of the Strait, reinterpreted with mastery and vision. I trust Alvise implicitly: we've been friends forever, having known each other since the days when we rowed together at the Club Nautico Paradiso. And it was through him that I discovered the cuisine of Ambra Gigante, now the restaurant's chef, a discovery that has unfolded, dish after dish, over the years.
Ambra has embraced and transformed the legacy of Franco Ruggeri, Alvise's father: an internationally renowned chef who, after traveling the world, chose to return to his beloved Messina.
