La Taverna dell'Etna In Castelmola

Out of all the restaurants in Castelmola, this one is by far the best. Excellent food and service even when it's busy the staff still look after you. There is good choice and plenty of daily specials especially if you like fish. Not to expensive either. Can get very busy so would probably book so not to be disappointed. There is a view if you want it but to be fair was to busy enjoying the food and wine🤣

The girl just deserves all the stars. I ate there twice and both times I was super happy with their food. The first time, it was like the first time, so without a reservation, but even then we were not left at the door and in 10 minutes we got a table on the terrace overlooking ... you guessed it from the name of the restaurant, ETNA. The food was very good and large portions, tasty food that I have not seen anywhere else. The second time we had a reservation so that we would not have to wait. I recommend the pasta Bolognese, the fish of the day and the TIRAMISU. Oh my God, what a dessert this tiramisu is, it is not to be missed. You have the main menu but also an additional menu, which depending on the week, the latter can be changed. The owners are super nice and when talking to us they showed us the photo of Etna erupting, in 2020. like when it was quite serious. The photo was taken right from the restaurant's terrace/balcony. Don't miss it, take my word for it

We stayed in Taormina and wanted a location with a beautiful view before our return. Well, there's no better view 😍😍🤩 An elegant and refined classic venue for an intimate and high-class evening 😌 The sublime, exquisite, and very fresh dishes... well, the photos speak for themselves. 🤤🔝💯 We took advice from the owner Giuseppe. He's a great guy 😉, polite and kind. Very thorough 😌🤗 (a dictionary for those who don't know the meaning 😅). Greetings to his sister (whose name I don't remember. I apologize) 😅😘 Ah, the adjacent square is beautiful 🤩 For those looking for a difference, this is the right place 💯🔝👏🏻 Hi Beppe.. keep it up.. you're the top🔝👏🏻💯😎

....they tried to make out that cheaper wine wasn't available, but of course, there's always the vino del casa (1/2 liter) for about €7. The view is fantastic...see pictures, today, September 6, 2025, lunch from 12:30 PM...

During our visit to Castelmola, we stopped at Taverna dell'Etna, drawn by the spectacular view and the irresistible aroma of Sicilian cuisine. But beyond the breathtaking panorama and delicious food, what truly made the experience special was the impeccable service of Manuele, our waiter. From the first moment, Manuele welcomed us with great kindness, a sincere smile, and rare attentiveness. He expertly recommended the most iconic dishes on the menu, explaining them with passion and that typically Sicilian touch of warmth that makes you feel immediately at home. Always present but never intrusive, he managed to combine professionalism and friendliness, making the dinner not only enjoyable, but memorable. A big thank you to Manuele for making our meal at Taverna dell'Etna a moment of true hospitality. If you pass through Castelmola, stop here—and hope to be served by him.

INCREDIBLE RESTAURANT!!!! A must-see restaurant in Castelmola. The owner is a charming man who kindly seated us on the terrace facing Mount Etna. An incredible, breathtaking view. The cuisine is excellent, refined, and full of flavor, and the service is top-notch, with professional, friendly, and welcoming staff. A unique and unforgettable experience, as much for the beauty of the view, the kindness of the owner, and the excellent cuisine. Thank you so much for your kindness and smiles. We will definitely be back.

Don't break 3 legs of a duck... we thought we would have a great time and especially enjoy ourselves given the comments.... the dishes were not up to the photos on the site....moreover the neighbor's dog did not stop barking... not to be mistaken for the restaurant but.. we did not have dessert because we were too eager to leave.... bad experience for us

Restaurant with excellent food, but not a great location. It's a corridor where the best positions are only for the first few tables close to the railing, so the food is excellent. Perhaps there are better views. To reach the restaurant, you have to leave your car in the public car park because it's in the limited traffic zone.

Die Sicht auf den Ätna ist vermutlich das einzige was einen hierherlockt , der Service ist aber sehr freundlich , das Ambiente ok und die Speisen auch ganz gut

Su consiglio della vigilessa di Castelmola siamo stati a pranzo in questa taverna dove il personale è la vista panoramica sono insuperabili. Abbiamo ordinato degli paccheri al pesce cipolla (scorfano), degli scialatielli al tonno, olive e spaghetti al nero di seppia. Di secondo un'ottima frittura di paranza e un filetto al nero d'Avola il tutto accompagnato da un ottimo vino della casa. Un grazie particolare a Michela per la sua premura, simpatia e gentilezza. Ritorneremo sicuramente prima della partenza.
