La Taverna dell'Etna In Castelmola

A charming place, with a beautiful panoramic view, which makes everything romantic and stunning. The food is excellent, the dishes have immense flavor and are cooked and presented with great care. The entire staff is professional, kind, and attentive to the guests and their needs. The place is also super clean, which in my opinion highlights all the positive aspects of this place even more. Highly recommended.

La Taverna dell'Etna is one of those places that captures your heart even before your palate. Situated in a breathtaking panoramic location, it offers a spectacular view of Mount Etna and the sea that alone is worth the visit. But it's when the food arrives that you realize you're in a truly special place. The cuisine is authentic, carefully prepared, and based on excellent quality ingredients, carefully selected and treated with respect. The staff is extremely friendly. In short, La Taverna dell'Etna is a place where the view enchants, the cuisine excites, and the hospitality makes you want to return. A little gem at the foot of the volcano. 🌋🍷

Very good food and great service

We shared a mediocre antipasti plate for starters, and for the main course, my girlfriend had a delicious pasta with mushrooms. I had a delicious pasta dish from the daily special with three small pieces of fish. Overall, the taste was okay, but below our expectations.

I highly recommend it when in Sicily. Very good food. Smiling staff. Wonderful views. A must-see.

I was hesitant to review it or not. We were lucky because the beautiful view is indeed there, but only if you sit at the tables near the railing. I have to say that even though we ate in the company of bees, the food they didn't manage to spoil properly was quite good. Personally, the tuna I chose was delicious; I was a guest for lunch and couldn't take advantage of it. Why did I only give it 3 stars? Because of the salad... hahaha, it wasn't cut properly and I struggled to turn it on my plate and eat it. The beekeeper then gave up, apologizing only at the end of the meal, and then even pretended to be the owner!!

Ate here twice. The caponata was amazing, and the tuna dish of the day was also incredibly delicious. A bit stressful at times.

If you want to eat authentic Sicilian food then Trattoria dell’Etna is the restaurant to visit. Just look at the menu and you will see the authenticity of the dishes here, this is the real Sicily, the Sicily of Commissario Montalbano. There are dishes here that that you will not find listed on your average tourist-aimed restaurant but they are dishes full of flavour and intensity. The menu offers a good listing of wines too and plenty of other beverages. Service and presentation is very good too and if there is ever a restaurant with a view to die for then this is the one. Superb. Se volete mangiare l'autentico cibo siciliano allora la Trattoria dell'Etna è il ristorante da visitare. Basta guardare il menu e vedrete la genuinità dei piatti qui, questa è la vera Sicilia, la Sicilia del Commissario Montalbano. Ci sono piatti qui che non troverai elencati nel tuo ristorante turistico medio, ma sono piatti pieni di sapore e intensità. Il menu offre anche una buona lista di vini e molte altre bevande. Il servizio e la presentazione sono molto buoni e se c'è mai un ristorante con una vista da morire, allora questo è quello giusto. Superbo.

The staff granted our request for a spot on the terrace with a fantastic view. The food was nice. I had a whole grilled fish which was very tasty. The portions for the mains were ok but the accompaniments could have perhaps been more generous given the prices. Service was friendly enough but they were clearly busy and it was a bit annoying when the waiter kept clearing away one person's plate before the other had finished eating, making us feel rushed. The local restaurant down the road was cheaper, friendlier and made us feel more welcome and less rushed.
