La Taverna del Leone In Positano

I had a very delicious meal and a great experience. We visited Positano on our honeymoon and found this restaurant through Google Maps. All menus were delicious, and the staff were very friendly. It was one of the best dinners of my life. The following is a review of the menu I ate. ㅇ Octopus dish: Crispy fried octopus served with chickpeas, hummus, and tomatoes. The octopus was so tender and went well with the sauce. I just wanted to eat two plates of octopus. ㅇTruffle Pasta: I ate truffle pasta at twice the price in Rome. It was more than twice as delicious as the meal in Rome. The truffle flavor is not overpowering and goes well with the noodles. The photo shows it divided into two plates, so the actual amount is twice that in the photo. ㅇ Tenderloin steak: I ordered medium rare, and it was tender and delicious. Uniquely, we were provided with three types of salt and they were all delicious. ㅇ Pizza: This pizza was recommended by the employee. It was a pizza with mozzarella cheese, ham, olives, and potatoes, and it had a harmonious taste. The olives were especially delicious, a flavor I had never tried before. This is a pizza without tomato sauce, and it's worth a try. ㅇ Tiramisu: It’s so delicious. There is a feeling that good ingredients are used. It was sweet and soft and the sheets were appropriately moist. All menu items were delicious and highly recommended. When I told him it was my honeymoon, he gave me raspberry chocolate. It was the best dessert. Thank you for providing a happy experience on your precious trip.

GAVE ME FOOD FLASHBACKS. I am a picky eater and was hesitantly convinced into ordering the traditional 5 course meal though I am not a salad, soup, or desert person. When I tell you this was one of the best meals I’ve ever had in life?! For every single dish and course my partner and I ate every crumb and left empty dishes. The food was amazing and even with being very clearly young tourists the service was so nice and accommodating. Very fancy restaurant with a beautiful view into the kitchen. It’s been a few days and my partner and I are still talking about how delicious it was. We left completely full as well! Very much worth the €70pp. Can’t recommend enough to anyone in the area. Worth a long drive even!

A restaurant of a decidedly high standard, expensive (also regarding the pizzas) and elegant; however the quality can be felt. Fast, kind and attentive service. Gourmet pizzas, perfect cooking and tasty ingredients, excellent desserts and local limoncello too. Final price for two pizzas (Cilentana + Angelica), two bottles of water, two semifreddos, a coffee and a limoncello = €69.50. It's okay that we are on the coast, but I think that here everyone needs to calm down with prices, and this restaurant, although excellent, is not excluded from the general madness. Private roadside parking available. With a few euros less, everything would have been perfect.

Had a great experience at their restaurant for dinner. The selection is great and fairly priced, and staff is very friendly. Recommend taking a bus or shuttle over as parking nearby is very limited, even at night.

My family and I stayed in a villa just 100 meters down the road from La Taverna for 7 nights. We ate at La Taverna Del Leone 4 times during our trip, as we liked it that much. We found it to be the best out of all meals we had in Italy and we dined in Naples, Positano, Capri, and Ravello. The service is unmatched and the food and wine are stellar.

The extreme quality of their pizzas is surprising. The best we have had after 8 days in Italy and passing through Rome and Naples (no less). Baked with whole wheat flour, in a wood-fired oven and with a buffalo mozzarella base. Awesome. Incredible winery and attentive service Worth
