La Taverna del Garda In Desenzano del garda

We had a delicious three-course dinner here. We spent €112 between us. We had a whole bottle of wine, but we shared an appetizer. The service is truly excellent! They keep a close eye on your needs, but aren't pushy at all. We arrived around 7:30 PM and were seated immediately. Some people who arrived after us did have to wait a bit. We really enjoyed the fish (tuna and sea bass) and the potatoes! The side salad was a bit disappointing. The plate it was on was also awkward on a small table. Definitely worth it!

We received a warm welcome. The restaurant is quietly located in a small alley and has a lovely outdoor area. After looking at the menu, we unfortunately discovered that there was no vegetarian main course. After ordering only an aperitif platter (which earned us some strange looks from the waitress), the waiters began to avoid us as the meal progressed. Therefore, we unfortunately don't recommend our visit.

My mom and I ate there two nights in a row because we liked it so much the first time. The service was great, and the restaurant is located in a quieter bit of the town centre. We found it much more pleasant then eating on the port. We had the salmon trout both nights and it was delicious!

La Taverna del Garda is a lovely little spot in Desenzano del Garda that's not immediately obvious. Since the taverna is located away from the hustle and bustle, you can enjoy some peace and quiet here and focus on the fine food. There are several outdoor and a few indoor seating areas. The service is very friendly, and the food is exceptionally delicious. Some dishes come without side dishes, as stated on the menu. However, even if a dish comes with vegetables as a side dish, you should always order side dishes such as French fries, as the dishes aren't particularly large. You'll need a starter and maybe a dessert with your main course if you really want to fill up. As mentioned, the food is very tasty, and we would definitely come back if we're in the area. The prices are reasonable, too.

Als je niet oplet loop je zo voorbij het restaurant. We hebben er gedineerd en naast de fantastische bediening hebben we er ook heel lekker gegeten. Een aanrader is de vis in papillot.

Nel locale con tavoli anche all’aperto. Buona accoglienza da parte del personale, piatti deliziosi ed anche sorprendenti: abbiamo preso come antipasto una millefoglie con stracciata di bufala cipolle caramellate e salmone ed un polipo alla piastra con patate per proseguire con bigoli con le sarde e degli spaghetti aglio e olio con Coregone. Buono il rapporto qualità/prezzo. Da tornare.
