A traditional inn in Desenzano's historic center. Quality food made with local ingredients. Truly friendly staff and fast service. Great prices for the quality of the food. The only drawback is that the atmosphere is a bit noisy.

I'd been wanting to eat at this tavern for a couple of years. I'm a good eater and a decent cook. As I passed this tavern in the center of Desenzano, I always smelled the inviting aroma of good food, and finally, on November 10th, I managed to go for lunch. There were three of us, and I chose the place to have lunch. Those with me trusted my instincts, and I wasn't wrong. I was greeted with a warm welcome. A beautiful young woman with long black hair and Asian features greeted me with a smile and sat me down even though I hadn't booked. While waiting for the other diners to arrive, I perused the menu and found many tempting options. In the end, when the others arrived, we chose the wrong carbonara; I chose the garlic pasta, while the other person chose the shin. Everything was truly as I'd always imagined, excellent quality. The dishes were simple, but simplicity always pays off, especially when they're of excellent quality and well-prepared. The atmosphere is calm, welcoming, and warm, and the place is well-attended. I sincerely recommend it and will return, hoping to find the same warm welcome, culinary offerings, and quality at a good value that is so often lacking elsewhere, especially in Desenzano. I wanted to write this review, as I told the owner, because those who deserve it deserve it.

I visited this restaurant a week ago. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The food was good. As a celiac, I recommend always keeping a few packets of gluten-free crackers or bread on hand to accompany the delicious cheeses and cured meats they serve.

Our first time at the Taverna: a positive experience. The bigoli with lavalle ragù was definitely a success. The ragù was delicate, yet intriguing. The house Chiaretto was excellent. The bruschetta entree was appetizing and different from the usual. We'll be back. (There was a tablecloth, even if it was paper... still much better than the paper napkins some top restaurants provide...) Very friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere. A beautiful afternoon in the center of Desenzano. Well done

The food was delicious and the service was great. I came in the evening, and the street atmosphere was great. I was so happy that I fell after doing two somersaults, but it didn't hurt.

We stopped by for a quick lunch. For this reason, and because of what we saw on our neighbor's plate, we opted for pizza. I must say it was definitely worth it! The staff were extremely attentive, from the bike parking to the service itself—fast, kind, and precise. I'd say the product was excellent, both in terms of ingredients and results. They serve a good quality draft beer, and the bill didn't suffer at all from the magnificent lake view we enjoyed. As we left, we couldn't help but compliment the management, which the owner and staff were happy to accept.
