Not sure what happened with the last reviewer, but our food was outstanding. One of (if not) the best food we have at lake garda. 4 courses, all delicious.
My wife's piglet, was to die for.
Service was slow but that's ok, and really friendly and helpful. Slow pace is better for us. A great little slice of atmosphere in Desenzano

Drawn by the beautiful location and excellent reviews, we stopped for lunch. It confirmed why everyone raves about it. The kindness, politeness, and helpfulness of the staff, and the excellent quality of the food were welcome confirmation. I highly recommend it!

I'm reconfirming everything after three years. Excellent value for money. Ravioli with burrata, bigoli with sardines (honestly good, maybe the bigoli were cooked a minute too long), trout au gratin cooked to perfection—you have to try it. Flavorful without being overly so, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The Lugana Ca' dei Frati was definitely the best, but I wasn't familiar with the others. Coffee. Complimentary Domenis grappa, 50% proof and barely noticeable (but we weren't supposed to be driving), and limoncello. Total €84 plus tip. Courteous, efficient, fast, and friendly service.

We dined at Taverna del Garda and were satisfied: the dishes were plentiful, well-prepared, and the place was charming and welcoming. My only complaint concerns the welcome: the lady in the dining room seemed a bit too formal and lacked a smile, which conveyed a sense of distance. I think a touch of friendliness and empathy would really make a difference and make the experience even more enjoyable.

Als je niet oplet loop je zo voorbij het restaurant.
We hebben er gedineerd en naast de fantastische bediening hebben we er ook heel lekker gegeten.
Een aanrader is de vis in papillot.

Nel locale con tavoli anche all’aperto. Buona accoglienza da parte del personale, piatti deliziosi ed anche sorprendenti: abbiamo preso come antipasto una millefoglie con stracciata di bufala cipolle caramellate e salmone ed un polipo alla piastra con patate per proseguire con bigoli con le sarde e degli spaghetti aglio e olio con Coregone. Buono il rapporto qualità/prezzo. Da tornare.
