We trekked from Levanto to Monterosso for 2 hrs 20 mins and were looking for somewhere for a light lunch. This was perfect! A lovely couple run the restaurant and the wife is a great cook. I had gluten free pasta carbonara and my partner chose the vegetarian pizza. Both were delicious. .. and they also provided gluten free bread for me … a first in my travels in Italy. A couple of Aperol Spritz and the prices were very affordable. We were sitting outside in an undercover raised area and the tables quickly filled. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch here. Was away from the busy restaurants of the main strip along Monterosso, and we really enjoyed the quieter vibe of this restaurant. I’m coeliac, and they were very accomodating with gluten free options. I enjoyed the gluten free pesto pasta - perfect option for a light lunch! My partner isn’t gluten free and had a normal pizza, and thoroughly enjoyed his meal as well. Would highly recommend a visit here for lunch or dinner.

24/07/2024: John Luca makes the best coffee in Riomaggiore. Go straight here first thing in the morning and get a normal or if you want espresso and leche a macchiato:)
