The interior is cute, quite rustic, reminding me a bit of a tourist attraction inside an amusement park. The food is exceptional; I recommend the spaghetti all'assassina. I must say I noticed the high quality of the dishes, especially at the fairly reasonable prices. The service is a major flaw: they forgot our appetizers, misunderstood our order, didn't bring our drinks, and it took them five minutes to issue a bill. However, the overall quality is good; I'd gladly return.

A quaint place. The owners are friendly and helpful. The downside is that it's small, but easily overlooked. The dishes are good and well-cooked, but the mussel shells could use some cleaning. The appetizers are well-cooked and well-seasoned, and the fried food is light and crispy. It's a shame about the first course, which was excellent. The clams were delicious, but the pasta was very salty. I'd remove the refrigerated section where they keep the fresh fish; the fishy smell was unpleasant in such a small space. When the fish is fresh, you know there's no need to display it. The prices are fair.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We ate so much and were extremely full! 😃 You have to order an appetizer for two people and then a main course for each of you. We also decided to have salad as a starter, and both salads were fantastic and delicious. I chose the fried octopus; my husband had to help me because it was too big. Simone helped us with our order and also recommended a very good white wine. We are from Bulgaria, and he also spoke a little Bulgarian, which we really appreciated. Thank you so much to the owner and his family for the wonderful food, the ambiance, and the service. Everything was perfect. Grazie Miele! ♥️

A fantastic experience at LA TANA DEL POLPO!!! We tried the seafood appetizers, which were incredibly fresh, and the first courses were exceptional, especially the SHRIMP CARPACCIO. The wait staff was impeccable: kind, attentive, and always smiling, making us feel at home. The place is well-kept and clean, with a pleasant atmosphere. The prices are fair for the quality offered. Highly recommended!

We tried their signature dish: the classic octopus sandwich. Truly excellent! You can immediately taste the high-quality, fresh ingredients. The price-quality ratio is fair, considering the quality of the product. Highly recommended if you're passing through Bari.

I went to La Tana del Polpo in Bari Vecchia and I have to say I had a truly wonderful meal. The sandwich was simply fantastic, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
A special thanks to Giovanna and Lucia, who served us with such kindness: they are very friendly, friendly, and also very knowledgeable in recommending what to eat.
It was truly a wonderful experience, and I will definitely be back. Highly recommended!
