La Tana del Lupo In Milano

It's a historic family-run trattoria/grill. When Milan was a hub of heavy industry, it was a working-class trattoria, where workers could briefly forget their toil and misfortunes. It still survives today, and this is the added value to the simplicity and authenticity of the dishes offered: charcoal-grilled ribs, braised meats, 1970s-style table settings, family-style service, and a spartan, working-class atmosphere. If you don't appreciate the Lombard nostalgia of fog, blast furnaces, and real life, go elsewhere.

From the outside, you wouldn't think it was worth it, but it's absolutely worth it, starting with the smell that reaches all the way to the park! Amazing grill, delicious meat, especially the diaphragm, which I ate for the first time and I must say was cooked to perfection. The staff were helpful and friendly, and they even offered us limoncello at the end of the meal.

The atmosphere is pleasant, and the family-style service is excellent. The price is fair. A great place for a relaxing evening.

Wonderful discovery! We were in the area for work, and in the evening, we decided to have dinner near our hotel. The food was truly excellent, but what really made the difference was the staff: exquisite and incredibly kind. Since it had rained heavily, they even drove us back to the hotel. Such rare and truly appreciated customer service. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back!

Loved the place. It was just like going to lunch to your uncle's house. Food is great. Honest people, not trying anything fancy. Just the right food, more than competitive prices.
