We were greeted by the owner without an appointment and were very kind. The place was very busy, so the wait was worth it. It was definitely worth it; the pizza was excellent. Well done, guys.

I visited Pizzeria La Smorfia on a Saturday evening with a reservation for two. Upon arrival, we still had to wait about ten minutes before being greeted and shown to our table, which was a bit unexpected considering we had made a reservation. Once we ordered, the wait was quite long: almost an hour passed before the pizzas arrived. The service time is definitely something that could be improved. The pizzas, however, were good: well-topped, with fresh ingredients, and a pleasant flavor that at least partially made up for the wait. In summary: good-quality pizza, courteous but very slow service. With quicker reception and quicker kitchen staff, the experience could have been significantly more satisfying.

When we arrived in Merano, we immediately headed to this pizzeria recommended by a colleague. It's a very large place, spread over two floors and stylishly furnished. Friendly staff, impeccable service, and truly excellent pizzas. The dough has a rustic feel due to the flour used, and the pizza is a cross between gourmet and classic wagon wheel. We were satisfied, and if I were to return to Merano, I'd order a second helping. Prices are a little high, but worth it. Highly recommended!

Zirmtal Alm

27/08/2025: The Zirmtal Alm is picturesquely situated in the mountains. The path to the hut is extremely attractive and easy to walk. Near the hut, you'll find a pretty little lake that invites you to linger.
31/07/2025: After a strenuous, steep climb (approx. 700 meters in elevation) from the "Alte Mühle" parking lot, you reach the beautifully situated Zirmtal Alm, from which you can enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Zirmtal. The hike is definitely worth it; the food, like at almost every other alpine hut, is excellent and absolutely worth the price.
