La Ruota In Forio

We were in Ischia over the June 2nd long weekend, and after several disappointing lunch and dinner experiences at other restaurants, we stumbled upon La Ruota, where we had an excellent experience: the welcome, friendliness, quality, service, and variety of dishes... what more can I say? Lunch at La Ruota was a complete surprise. We ate wonderfully and were pampered by Marcella, who delighted us. The zucchini and mussels specialties are a must-try, a superb combination of ingredients and quality.

We ate very well. The atmosphere was family-friendly, and Mrs. Marcella was very friendly!

We went for dinner to try mozzarella in carrozza, because it was listed on the menu online. But the waiter told us it was sold out. When I expressed my disappointment, he still made sure to accommodate my request by bringing a freshly made mozzarella in carrozza, dry and incredibly crispy. The parmigiana and fried fish were delicious. Excellent value. Right on Chiaia beach. Highly recommended!

We wanted mozzarella in carrozza, searched online, and chose La Ruota. When we sat down and ordered, unfortunately, it was sold out. The waiter (or manager?) saw our disappointment (for goodness sake, it's not their fault it was sold out)... 15 minutes later, somehow, we had mozzarella in carrozza on the table. Fantastic. Then, delicious eggplant parmiguana, sublime fried fish (even my wife, who doesn't eat fish, tried it), and the wine was just the right temperature (which is not a given). Overall, everything was 5-star. The only complaint was the noise, and THAT'S NOT THEIR FACTOR. Unfortunately, the loud music from a nearby restaurant slightly spoiled the romantic atmosphere of a sunset dinner on the beach. But I don't think they can do anything about it, so a well-deserved 5 stars, also for their kindness and hospitality. Highly recommended.

I ate very well, the service was high quality, but the service was a little slow, which was to be justified given the number of people, as today was Sunday, May 31st. I will definitely be returning.

Perfect restaurant for eating and swimming in Sortento

We had dinner at this seaside restaurant, which offered a beautiful sunset view. Excellent food and friendly staff. Recommended
