La Rotonda In Mola di bari

This was our story: We came without a reservation, but since we came early, Fabio quickly found us a table for two. We ordered the La Rotonda appetizer, an excellent start to our dinner. It’s a selection of eight very well-chosen dishes, meant for at least two people. A wonderful cross-section of Apulian cuisine. We recommend it to every guest. 15€ one person, which is more than resonable price for this heaven. We were almost full and weren’t sure if we could handle the additional two pasta dishes we had ordered along with the appetizer. However, Fabio was very attentive and, without asking, he suggested that we share one portion between the two of us. Perfect! The red vino de la casa was excellent. After a long time, we encountered a waiter who truly honors this profession. Grazie, fantastico Fabio!

Eating at La Rotonda is an unforgettable experience in the art of Italian food at its best. We were there with family on a holiday celebrated in Europe and they had a fixed menu that must have consisted of 10-12 courses. The food was the best we’ve ever eaten while in Italy. There was lots of fresh seafood from beginning to end. We started the meal with a variety of small plates that included calamari, salmon, octopus salad, bread, clams, shrimp and more. From there we were served seafood risotto, ravioli past, grilled fish and more. The dishes were beautifully spaced so that there was enough time between each dish. We were also served cucumber slices to clean the pallet as well as sherbet at another point in the meal to cleanse the pallet. This was really an art form on how to serve and space an Italian meal that we will never forget. Wonderful fresh food beautifully served. An absolutely excellent experience.
