Friendliness, kindness, and helpfulness from the owner and all the staff; excellent hotel, good food. I plan to return again; we had a great time (we were a group of four friends). I encourage everyone to visit.

We were on a pilgrimage in Assisi and we stayed in three hotels. Specifically, we were not in this one, we just ate. Breakfast was terrible, only cheese and ham. No vegetables or yogurt, just very poor. But lunch and dinner were quite decent.

If you're visiting Assisi, Hotel la Rocca is a strategic choice. It's located right at the top of the historic center, and since Assisi is a very steep city, you can easily explore it by walking downhill, passing all the points of interest, starting with the Duomo, which is just steps away, and then continuing down to the church of San Francesco. If you're lazy (like me), once you've explored the city, you can take the city bus C to the upper terminus, just steps from the hotel. The same bus also takes you to the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore and the train station. Everything is within easy reach. The hotel is also close to the Rocca Maggiore, which can be reached via a short, pleasant, uphill walk. The restaurant is excellent, offering delicious, hearty lunch and dinner at reasonable prices. The restaurant terrace offers a breathtaking view. The staff is friendly and helpful.

2 star hotel good value for money. Enviable location in the center overlooking the forest of San Francesco and the fortress. Possible to park nearby for a fee Restaurant with good outdoor space but above all with a view

Fantastic hotel. The atmosphere is like in old Italy. Parking on site but you have to book it in advance. 10 minutes walk to the center. I recommend it

Il Molino Ristorante

11/05/2025: Mi sono recato in questo ristorante assieme alla mia fidanzata durante una gita a Spello. Il locale sorge lungo il corso principale del paese, a due passi dalla cattedrale ed offre sia posti all'interno che all'esterno. Le sale interne sono situate dentro un grottino che rendono l'atmosfera molto romantica, il tutto arredato in maniera raffinata e di classe. Consiglio vivamente di iniziare con un ottimo Antipasto di di Salumi misti, oppure con delle buona Tartare. Tra i primi assolutamente consigliati i Tagliolini in Crema di Asparagi oppure i Tortelli ripieni alla Carbonara. Come dessert eccezionale il Tiramisu'. Innaffiate il tutto con un ottimo Rose' di Sagrantino frizzante e passerete senza dubbio una fantastica esperienza. Prezzi decisamente sopra la media del posto ma come detto prima il locale e' di un livello di raffinatezza di molto superiore rispetto alle altre taverne turistiche vicine.
04/05/2025: Buon ristorante, cucina tradizionale umbra, rivisitata in chiave moderna. Buona la cantina. Prezzo giusto per l'offerta data. Tempi di attesa. Un po' lunghi. Comunque da provare.

01/10/2025: Excellent restaurant! We've been here for several days to eat, and the food is exceptional. The atmosphere and music are beautiful. The waiters are super fast and very friendly. If you're coming to Assisi, make a note to visit!
