I had lunch with a friend: traditional but not touristy menu, carefully prepared dishes with prices in line with the Milanese average, discreet and attentive service, refined but overcrowded atmosphere (the waiters barely pass between one table and another).

I dined at this restaurant with friends. The welcome was sincere and friendly, the staff were smiling, and the owner made you feel like you were among friends. The food was very good, featuring typical Milanese dishes with some pleasant twists, and generous portions. We tried dishes off the menu, following their suggestions.
To fully enjoy the experience, I recommend booking well in advance, as it's a popular place.

The restaurant isn't very large, but that makes up for the relaxed pace, allowing you to enjoy conversation while dining in a warm atmosphere.

A small, family-run restaurant just steps from the Arco della Pace. A rare find in this neighborhood, where good restaurants are scarce. They serve Milanese cuisine that's fresh, homemade, and delicious. Very reasonable prices considering the quality. Be sure to make a reservation as the dining room is small.

New Year's Eve lunchtime, "let's grab a quick bite." Instead, tortelloni with speck and gorgonzola (with a heavy-handed gorgonzola cream) and a free sample (thank you!) of risotto, made really, really, really well. Very nice atmosphere, a wonderful surprise; I can't wait to go back.

Friendly and cosy place for dinner. Chef came out and explained the daily menu and he was super friendly. Food tasted great and was filling. It had a home made taste and feel (in a good way!). This restaurant really was amongst the better ones we ate at in comparison to other restaurants at the same price point.
