High-end restaurant.
A very unique location, where you dine suspended over Via Stalinrado. The restaurant has high ceilings and plenty of space in the dining room. It's very well decorated with some very interesting features (including an open-view wine cellar upstairs).
Impeccable service, truly delicious dishes.
I had the tortelli with octopus ragu, chocolate dessert, and seared shrimp as an appetizer (my favorite).
I'll be back when I'm in the area again.
It deserves a star (in my opinion).

A well-maintained restaurant located near the Unipol offices in Bologna. All the dishes we tried lived up to expectations, from the cuttlefish to the tagliolini. The atmosphere is very pleasant, ideal not only for dinner but also for business lunches. A good selection and good value.

We had dinner at Ristorante La Porta, which is listed in the Michelin Guide, and unfortunately we left with mixed feelings.
The food was good overall, and some dishes were genuinely tasty, but there’s still quite a bit of room for improvement and, above all, more consistency.
For example, an amuse-bouche with pumpkin had a very flavorful filling, but the biscuit was dry. The pasta course with broth was pleasant but not particularly memorable, a bit bland.
On the other hand, the main course was very good, and the dessert was absolutely excellent. So the quality really fluctuated from dish to dish, which made the experience feel unstable.
We chose the meat tasting menu with wine pairings at €40 per person. For that price, especially as a table of three, we felt the value wasn’t quite right. The four glasses of wine were served in very small pours, and honestly, for the same budget we could have ordered multiple bottles from the wine list. The pricing structure felt a bit odd.
Regarding the sommelier: she explained the wines but didn’t really guide us on why they paired well with the dishes or what to look for in the flavors. The interaction also felt rather distant, with little eye contact. In contrast, a young male staff member gave us truly excellent service warm, attentive, and clearly passionate about his job. He really elevated our evening.
Some smaller details were disappointing at this price level.
The tea at the end was just a basic tea bag with very little flavor we would expect loose-leaf or higher-quality tea in a restaurant of this standard. When we asked for a taxi, there was also a miscommunication: the taxi was already waiting in the parking lot while we were told to wait downstairs, which caused confusion.
Overall, we didn’t feel much service support from the sommelier.
The team seems well-intentioned and there is potential, but it still feels like they lack experience and consistency. Attention to detail is sometimes there, sometimes not, which makes the service feel a bit sloppy and uneven.
In short: some very good dishes and moments, but not yet at the level you would expect from a Michelin-listed restaurant.

Last night I went to a restaurant with my friends. Instead of silly Christmas gifts, we wanted to treat ourselves to a dinner with friends in a chic place with refined cuisine. And at La Porta restaurant, we found just that. Excellent service, a refined and welcoming atmosphere, with background music that wasn't distracting and encouraged conversation. The food was top-notch, with the spaghetti with lobster being one of the standouts in my opinion. Special mention goes to the bread basket served with whipped butter and quality olive oil. We would have eaten just like this here. I definitely plan on returning.

I went to dinner at this restaurant and was impressed by the excellent quality of the food.
I'd especially like to compliment Maitre Giulia. Her hospitality was extraordinary: she greeted us with extreme kindness and professionalism, making our evening even more special.
I highly recommend this restaurant!

The atmosphere is charming. The staff is extremely calm and attentive to detail. The food is good and the selection is good (tasting menu or à la carte options are available). The place is wheelchair accessible (there is an elevator). I returned here after years and am delighted to note the updated desserts and greater culinary experimentation: kudos to the chef! I found the price to be reasonable (although the lobster dish wasn't exceptional; I admittedly expected more). The location remains charming, clean, and evocative. Overall, a well-deserved 5 stars.

As you enter the arched lobby of La Porta, the off-white floorboards and bougie reception bath in the soft, gentle light of the overhead lamps. As you enter the dining room, at once both vast and homely, with windows overlooking the hum-drum of cars underneath, tranquility seeps into every pore of your skin. From the second floor, behind a large glass panel, custom shelves display a large variety of wines, and the clink of utensils echoes back and forth. The lampshades are all identical, soft indentations creating a wavy texture and emitting a soft yellow light. It is an asylum from modernity, a space of peace and contemplation.
