It was a pleasant experience to have dinner while watching the sunset. The steak was cooked perfectly, charred on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. The seafood was fresh.

A very pleasant surprise for us. The staff was very welcoming and always attentive with a smile. High-end services: welcome drink, luggage delivery to the room, linen and laundry services, and daily room cleaning. Amenities available in the room: a fridge with drinks. Please note that drinks in the fridge are €4, except for water, which is complimentary. Bathrobes, slippers, a sewing box, shoe polish, towels, shampoo, soaps, etc. Very generous breakfast included. Can be enjoyed in the dining room or on the outdoor terrace overlooking the lagoon. Additional services offered: a wonderful experience for us; a private taxi was provided to take us to the island of Murano to watch a demonstration of a carafe being made by an artist. A rooftop terrace is available upon request. Air-conditioned room. Automatic hairdryer. Very good location, with magnificent views of the lagoon. Vaporetto public transport stop nearby. Close to St. Mark's Square (15 minutes on foot, 5 minutes by vaporetto). We are absolutely delighted with our stay and highly recommend it!

Excellent breakfast at a very reasonable price (all-you-can-eat buffet). The welcome and quality of service are excellent with a splendid view. I highly recommend it.

I don't know the hotel, but the restaurant area by the water is very pleasant. The waiters are friendly and helpful. The dishes chosen were impeccable.

Thank you for a wonderful stay at the Hotel La Calcina. Upon our evening arrival on June 23, 2025, we were greeted at the hotel by a very polite, helpful, and incredibly communicative receptionist. The room had three windows with a wonderful view of the canal! The breakfast was high-quality and delicious! And most importantly, it was close to everything. I wholeheartedly recommend it, and we will definitely be back!

Visited on 02/15/2025. We didn't stay at the hotel; we just had a drink on the terrace overlooking the water. The setting is magnificent, but the service needs to be improved; the waitress was clearly unfriendly. Perhaps because we were outside guests?

Had a delicious minestrone soup here for lunch, completely unplanned and we were very late lunching. The kitchen was closed, but the waiter couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly. Great view over the waterfront!

J’aime la Calcina… au point d’y aller depuis des années… on y voyait Philippe SOLLERS attablé et écrire… Alors, aujourd’hui c’est un peu un pèlerinage… Le décor est exceptionnel: vous êtes sur l’eau et vous avez une magnifique vue sur la Giudecca et le Redentore… Le service est attentif. La cuisine est perfectible. Pourquoi y a-t-il des verres ébréchés et des coupes à glace d’occasion (cf photo)…? A une époque cet établissement faisait des efforts en proposant fruits de mer et vin blanc au bar extérieur … Il n’est pas facile de demeurer talentueux.

Wunderschöne Außenterasse direkt am Meer, toller Blick auf die gegenüber liegende Insel. Unsere Pasta mit Venusmuscheln war sehr lecker.

Whenever we travel to Venice we find a hole to go for lunch at La Calcina. Great views and service. Pasta never disappoints. The mixed fritto, a must!

28/09/2025: If you like it quiet, you are in good hands here, beautiful complex near the beach, about 10 minutes, 2 pools, restaurant, bar and beach bar, disadvantage outside the complex no shops and the nearest town is far away, a rental car is recommended
25/08/2025: Accommodation is simple but clean, close to the sea. Walking through sand dunes with fragrant conifers. Excellent food, everyone will definitely find something. Lots of vegetables, fruit, meat, great pizza prepared fresh on site. Desserts always 2 types + ice cream. Excellent. Beach without smokers, clean, here and there seaweed, but they don't bother moving at all, sometimes you just have to walk a few meters and the sea is free of them. The water is clean. If you are expecting Turkey or a busy resort, don't travel here, but if you want to relax, eat well, breathe in the sea air and swim to your heart's content, it is a really great place. We would return to the place without hesitation. There is no drinking water in the rooms, which some of the vacationers complained about, but we knew exactly everything that falls under all inclusive from the travel agency. Water can be bought in a minimarket, right next to the accommodation, cheaper than anywhere else in our country. 2 l for 1 €. On the other hand, there was still plenty of water in the dining room and bar. And a big plus, we met great people. Thank you to the lady from the travel agency in Mlyný (NR) for recommending this place to us and informing us about everything, nothing surprised us.
