Rave rave rave rave review. If you want Taranto family style meals, eating like an actual local this is the place. 15 dollars, no real limit on food but be respectful, great option for food. My recommendation is go as soon as they open, because the food is family style and it's first come first served. There is no menu. There is no actual sign that says this is La Piccola Locanda. There's a husband as a waiter and maybe a daughter of the woman at the counter. That's it, nothing else. Restaurant was PACKED on a Thursday at 130. We were lucky to get a table. Stuffed peppers were my absolute favorite, probably the tastest thing I've have had in the south so far. Really felt like I was in a family dining room. Vibe was just beyond casual. Come hungry, leave happy. Simple casual, great food at phenomenal price points.

From the first moment, you feel welcomed with genuine friendliness and helpfulness: the owners are always ready to accommodate guests' requests, with the flexibility typical of those who cook with passion, not pressure. The cuisine is honest, homey, made with fresh ingredients and traditional preparations that taste of the region. One of the restaurant's strengths is its value for money: the food is good, with satisfying portions, at truly fair prices, an increasingly rare occurrence. A place to return to, especially if you're looking for authenticity far from the tourist trail.

We had three different dishes, all well-prepared and delicious 👌👌, and a homemade dessert, along with house wine and coffee. We all left very satisfied, even with the price (€40). The facilities could be improved, including the restrooms.
