La Petriola In Matelica

Right in the center of Matelica there is this bistro bar of unparalleled quality. My girlfriend and I stopped here on a Sunday in May, we were alone in the restaurant and we asked the owner (forgive me for not asking your name) if we could do a tasting of local wines, she doesn't usually do this type of service but she satisfied us by giving her best. Upon my request, he let us taste 4 niche wines from new wineries in the area, explaining the history and the various structures, all accompanied by an abundant mixed platter full of goodness. Available, cheerful and friendly, with very honest prices, he deserves to have the place always full. Thanks for everything and if we ever return to the area we will definitely come back, take the photos!!

Good food, careful selection of wines, very friendly staff. They "saved" us as we wandered around Matelica on Easter day for lunch like tourists. Almost everything is closed, but here we found the opportunity for a good meal.
