La Pesa Caffe In Milano

We made a rather spontaneous reservation at Il Piccolo in Milan about 45 minutes in advance and got a table without any trouble, which was very pleasant. Overall, the visit was okay, but nothing particularly memorable. For our starter, we had the vitello tonnato, which tasted good, although the portion was rather small. For our main courses, we chose the tagliatelle al ragù (Bolognese) and the braised beef with polenta. Both dishes were well-prepared, classically Italian, and without any major surprises. The wine list offers a decent selection at fair prices; most glasses cost between 8 and 12 euros, which is quite reasonable for Milan. In conclusion: A good, uncomplicated restaurant for a spontaneous visit, with solid food and fair prices, even if it doesn't leave a lasting culinary impression.

Attentive service, very kind and professional waiter. The food is at a very high level, the ossobuco is the best I have tried. Good house wine. Overall highly recommended for 2 or more people. Cozy and personal vibe. Worth your visit. Kudos to the chef and staff!

They deserve a 4.5 all around. The service was good, they were friendly and courteous. The food was good, I ordered the pasta bolognese which I wish the pasta was slightly more cooked but the seasoning made up for it. My partner enjoyed the Cotoleta a la milanese and he loved it, so much so he ordered a second one. The environment was not my favorite and I'm not talking about the people. The establishment had an interesting smell and it's hard to move around as it's packed to capacity. If you are claustrophobic this is not the place for you. The floors looked dirty in need of some TLC.

I went with my boyfriend for Valentine's Day dinner. The service was excellent, the owner was extremely professional and even friendly! We ate divinely, featuring local and traditional Milanese dishes. We'll definitely be back. Best regards from Florence!

A little gem in Chinatown! Delicious place, excellent food (well-represented Milanese cuisine), and a superb wine list. Very fair prices. The maître d' is very knowledgeable, attentive to your needs (even suggesting variations to dishes for those with food intolerances), and truly very friendly. Highly recommended. I'll be back.
