I was going to visit the cemetery and got in the first restaurant I found without looking too much, and I was so lucky. Food is amazing. Had a very big salad, fresh ingredients, really good quality, and the amatriciana. Portions are huge for the price! I couldn't finish the pasta to my regret because was the best amatriciana I ever had. Waiters were lovely too. I will come in every visit to Rome.

7 years later I returned to this place and I rediscovered the authenticity that distinguishes the restaurant, an evergreen that carries forward the taste of tradition, the real one. The freshly prepared meals and the best substitutes in Rome, in my opinion, take you back to the Rome of Vittorio Gassman and Alberto Sordi. Last but not least, the welcome and service, fantastic! I hope to return to Rome soon to visit you! Ps: my Peruvian friends loved it too!

This is a historic place, especially for those who attended university here during the day and the nascent nightlife in the evening (before it moved and above all before it became chaos). I must say that the place is always nice, perhaps I even found it improved but in any case, despite changing tastes, crazy fashions and fierce competition, this place remains a guarantee, at least for the price level which has remained acceptable in the face of a decent average quality. Maybe once upon a time the pizza was a little better (but we know that the fate of the pizzeria is determined by the pizza chef... and now they change like the seasons, they are so much in demand when they are good) but overall the food is still decent, something more, something less. Obviously we decided on the first course and others on the pizza (with mutual tastings) plus the desserts: all good, not exceptional but good and the bill was honest. Advised? Since it is a guarantee, yes, without too many pretensions, but I still feel like recommending it and in fact the historical clientele has remained faithful over the centuries, like the weapon, because the fixed points have always remained the same and whoever knows what to get goes without fail. Posto perfetto per un pranzo o una cena informale, piatti molto buono e porzioni abbondanti. Consiglio i bucatini alla amatriciana, buonissimi. Servizio da rivedere ma prezzi ottimi e ambiente di una volta.
