La Nave In Nardò

Very good! We went today, August 21st, during a busy tourist season, and it didn't disappoint at all. We didn't even have a dog with us, but he was very welcome and made to feel welcome. We only had a first course, but it was very good, and the view was spectacular! We'll definitely be back.

We all ate well, the fish was good, the pasta dishes were well-prepared, and some were unique and tasted very good. The service was generally good, the girls were very kind and helpful. The only flaw was the rude waiter, who seemed pissed off because they'd mistakenly brought us an extra dish (at the counter they confirmed that the mistake was made in the kitchen, not when we ordered). He got annoyed and started asking, "So, what did you order?" Aside from that little incident, the service was excellent and the location was beautiful; we practically ate by the sea.

Excellent restaurant, very well organised. You need to book and be punctual because you basically eat in shifts, but it is very, very well organised.

Not the best welcome. Spaghetti with mussels was okay. Lemon wipes were practically dry and unusable. House wine was not good at all. As for the rest...

Excellent price, good food, even the location is a little dated but on the sea, a truly excellent and pleasant restaurant overall.

I booked a table for 11 people that evening on the morning of August 14th. Finding a table right away, I naively assumed the restaurant wasn't particularly popular. In reality, La Torre is the exception to the rule: we were simply lucky. The restaurant is deliberately simple, almost "old-fashioned": a spartan layout that doesn't represent a limitation at all, because the focus is on what really matters: quality ingredients, generous portions, and spontaneous courtesy. The service was impeccable: a surprising number of waiters ensured speed, precision, and a constant presence. Special praise goes to the woman who took the order, whose advice proved invaluable and fully met our expectations, and to the young man who looked after our table with professionalism. Compliments also to the kitchen: simple dishes, but executed with great mastery. All this is enhanced by a location with a priceless view. I truly hope to return soon. Thank you!

Abbiamo pranzato molto, molto bene, linguine cozze e vongole ,orecchiette al pomodoro, fritto di calamari con contorni di ottima qualità e preparazione,ottimo servizio, lo consiglio vivamente

Siamo stati a La Nave lo scorso weekend per pranzo dopo tanto tempo. Premetto che sono vegetariano e che abbiamo scelto questo locale (dove siamo stati più volte nel corso degli anni) perché aveva voglia di mangiare un po' di pesce di fronte al mare e perché, francamente, pensavo di poter trovare qualcosa anche per me. Purtroppo, e tristemente, non ho potuto fare a meno fi osservare la mancanza di una qualsiasi attenzione verso clienti vegetariani. Al di là delle orecchiette con la passata di pomodoro (piatto ovviamente pensato e dedicato ai bambini) e delle verdure grigliate, non vi è altro che un vegetariano possa mangiare. Proprio per questo, ho chiesto un semplicissimo piatto di pasta aglio, olio e peperoncino; la cameriera, che già era risultata non particolarmente garbata nel rispondere ad alcune domande di mia moglie, mi diceva che non era possibile (!!!!) perché la cucina era già troppo oberata. Sottolineo che la medesima signora si era già "scocciata" quando abbiamo chiesto come antipasto le sole verdure pastellate anziché l'intero piatto; verdure che, in tutto questo, oltre ad essere 10 di numero (io ne ho mangiate 5 e mia moglie le rimanenti 5) sono risultate talmente insipide da dover chiedere del sale per dare un po' di sapidità. Sconsolato, ho preso la pasta per i bambini che, ancora una volta, risultava insipida e su cui, per dare un po' di sapore, ho letteralmente svuotato il bicchiere di formaggio grattugiato che mi era stato portato su mia richiesta visto che il personale si era scordata di portarlo (cosa che era già successa con il pane ad inizio pranzo). Mia moglie ha, invece, trovato abbastanza soddisfazione con la pasta all'astice. Acqua, un calice di vino e due caffè hanno chiuso un pranzo - almeno per me - deludente. Ora... Io posso capire che in un ristorante di pesce possano esserci poche offerte per un cliente vegetariano; tuttavia non mi si può rispondere che non è possibile fare una semplicissima pasta aglio olio e peperoncino, permettendomi così di mangiare un piatto che non sia pensato per bambini come le orecchiette al pomodoro presenti a menù. In sintesi.... Suggerisco ai gestori del locale di rivedere l'approccio verso il cliente e di ripensare il menù o, per lo meno, di essere disponibili ad un minimo di flessibilità per cercare di soddisfare un cliente.
