Excellent at describing all the dishes, welcoming and friendly, fast service, fresh ingredients, and typical Trieste dishes with local seafood! Not for the sophisticated...closed without notice on Sunday evenings!

We love to go to this place, each time we are in Trieste, we make sure we book a table (and one needs to do this ahead of time!) and eat here. The tagliere di pesce (different options of cold and hot starters of fish and seafood) is a must to try. Definitely recommend this place.

La Movida dei Pescatori is a truly special seafood restaurant that I highly recommend! The restaurant, while not very large, has a welcoming and familiar atmosphere, perfect for a dinner as a couple, with friends, or with family. The fish is incredibly fresh, often carefully selected, and cooked to perfection. One of the most popular specialties is the mixed platters of hot and cold appetizers, perfect for sharing.

The staff is amazing and the food was well presented and tasty. You can order only open wine, but nothing wrong with that and totally aligned with the place philosophy. If you consider the place as simply upgraded great street sea food place, you will enjoy every part of it. Another note. Some car-navigation locate this place on the highroad, but it is under the highroad. So check the navigation before, not to do extra kilometers. On reservation they do offer also some special dishes with lobster, etc.

Very nice place where locals spend their time with families, staff is friendly. Better to make recervation 2 days before if you want to choose your time. Thank you very much and hope to see you soon again!
