Nice place, with decent cuisine

Fantastic location; from the outside it looks like any other nice place in the historic center, but once inside, you'll find a green setting anyone would envy. Excellent service and good food, although it could be improved (I ordered a pizza with prosciutto, which was so thick I struggled to finish it).

My husband and I came from Venice on August 7th. The restaurant was very nice. The waitress was very kind and beautiful. The food was excellent. The place was very welcoming and well-organized. The service was quite fast. Highly recommended. ❤️

Here is a little gem to visit, in what seems like a deserted little town, Asciano. We walked many times and noticed La Mencia empty, either it's too early for us Australians or the place doesn't have a good reputation. We were wrong on both accounts, walking through the empty restaurant opened up to a beautiful outdoor dining with lots of guests. Here is where you find where the true experience of La Mencia starts. With its umbrellas, hedging and creepers give it an awesome atmosphere while enjoying your meal. Great food and wine brought a smile to our faces. Tip: Look further in, you'll be surprised by what you might find.

The garden behind the restaurant is really nice and cool. We were served by a very kind waitress who spoke perfect French. I had a very good salad with buffoon mozzarella. The pizzas, however, weren't the best.

Excellent value for money, quality food, tasty and plentiful. Don't miss the Florentine steak, the best I've ever eaten!!! The sirloin steak was also delicious. My husband had discovered the restaurant on a business trip, we returned together on a couple's trip and we liked it so much that we ate there 2 consecutive nights. Highly recommended!!!
