Traveling along a mountain road through Canzo, you reach the restaurant, where the terrace offers a splendid view of Lake Lecco and its mountains. Everything here is meticulously maintained, and the details are important. The interior is beautifully furnished. The menu is varied, but with a focus on local cuisine. Service was good, even with a large number of guests. The portions were generous. Prices were appropriate for the quality and location. An experience to be repeated.

My wife and I dined at La Madonnina restaurant in Barni on May 1, 2026. It had been recommended to us because we wanted to try traditional Lombard dishes, and it turned out to be a perfect choice. We were also advised to make a reservation, so we did... in fact, it was very crowded, and it's definitely recommended to book a table as the location is very popular for ceremonies. As soon as we arrived, we were enchanted by the marvelous view of Lake Como from the restaurant. We chose the tasting menu, which began with excellent Valtellina sciatt served with salad, followed by expertly cooked pizzoccheri. For the main course, I chose polenta with braised beef, while my wife opted for polenta and gorgonzola. For a sweet ending, I chose tiramisu and my wife the apple strudel, finishing with coffee. All the courses were generous, so much so that, after enjoying the menu as a whole, you leave the restaurant feeling full and satisfied. Everything was very good, and the bill was fair, especially considering the beauty of the location. The staff was extremely kind and helpful throughout the meal. The only small flaw is that the atmosphere is a bit noisy, as the restaurant is designed specifically for large groups and ceremonies. We definitely recommend it if you don't mind being in a crowded setting, but it's not the ideal place for those looking for a quiet atmosphere or an intimate lunch. As a venue for ceremonies, it's even more recommended, as there's plenty of greenery around, plenty of outdoor seating, and a small children's area with games and swings. Overall, we had a wonderful time, we'll gladly return, and we'll definitely recommend it ourselves.

It's a popular venue for weddings and receptions due to its well-kept garden and breathtaking view. In summer, you can dine al fresco, enjoying the cool hills, while in winter, the large windows offer a view of the snow-covered landscape. The cuisine is rooted in Lombardy and Valtellina traditions, but with a modern and refined presentation. It's the ideal place if you're looking for a Sunday getaway or a romantic dinner immersed in the silence of the Larian hills.

I went for lunch with my family on a Sunday in February, without a reservation. We were in the area and decided to stop in. We know the restaurant well; we've been there on various occasions, both ceremonial and otherwise... You come here to enjoy typical Lombard dishes, cooked according to tradition, tasty and succulent! I don't think I'll ever order a tagliata here; there's so much more to enjoy... The staff was friendly, helpful, and on this occasion relaxed. The ground floor was full, almost noisy, but they seated us in a room on the first floor, which was quieter and less crowded. It's located in a panoramic spot overlooking Lake Como, from which you can see a good portion of the Lecco branch. The restaurant is currently undergoing renovation; the building has been painted, leaving only a partial view of the stone façade. The outdoor plaza is also being renovated, and the old railing has been replaced with glass panels that amplify the evocative view. Ample parking is available on multiple levels, connected by stairs. Considering the quality of the dishes served, I think the prices are fair.
