We happened to be here today and were given a very friendly welcome by the restaurant's owner. While there's no menu, you're served all sorts of delicious Sicilian antipasti, along with water and, if you wish, red wine. We highly recommend a visit; the little village on the mountain is truly stunningly beautiful; anyone heading towards Cefalu should definitely stop here. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

We had the pleasure of spending a wonderful evening at this restaurant. We had the menu prepared as a surprise... and we were thoroughly rewarded. The antipasti were a highlight, the nettle pasta was unique, and to finish, we had an exquisite piece of black pork. The whole meal was accompanied by a fine house wine and an excellent grappa. A heartfelt thank you to Chef Fabrizio for the delicious food and to owner Pippo for the fascinating stories about the region. All in all, an unforgettable, warm evening. If we ever visit the region again, we would love to come back!

In this enchanting village, hidden among stone and magic, you'll find the "La macina" restaurant. An exceptional culinary experience. From the abundant and flavorful appetizers to the excellent first courses, to the exquisite desserts—prepared by Pippo's "sweet" hands. Everything was perfect and of the highest quality. Impeccable service (the napkin-based plate change service isn't something you'll find in every restaurant). Welcoming and peaceful atmosphere. Highly recommended... we'll definitely be back.

We stopped there this evening. We received a very warm welcome, and even though the kitchen doesn't open until 8 p.m., we were still served antipasti. It was basically a selection of Sicilian specialties. Very hospitable people and great food. Lovely, traditional ambiance. It was a great end to a beautiful day. Highly recommended. ❤️👍🏻

We had a wonderful evening with exquisite food and a perfectly matched wine. The service was incredibly attentive and friendly. We immediately felt at home. The menu was chosen based on the chef's advice. We had typical Sicilian starters (10 different), all of which were delicious. We would go back anytime. A visit is definitely worth it!

I would feel remiss if I delayed any longer in writing this review, and any of you went to San Marco d'Alunzio but skipped this great dining experience. Just steps off the main pedestrian thoroughfare, the owner welcomes you personally and the chef speaks with you to answer any questions you have. We let the owner guide us in our choices. The antipasti all'Italiana kept coming and coming with over ten different plates; the lamb topped the meal off as a secondi. My friend and I each had two glasses of the house wine (he had the red, I had the white), and two hours later we left with a very reasonable bill of about eighty euros. Be aware that the charming hosts do not speak much English, but love their phone translation apps. Know how to use yours as well, and you can find out more about them, the village, and your meal.
