Beautiful restaurant! It perfectly reflects the charm and atmosphere of the village of San Marco D'Alunzio!!! As for the dishes, everything is delicious. From the appetizers to the desserts! Everything is made with excellent raw materials, with love and great professionalism! But the main course of the restaurant is Pippo, the owner, who knows how to put everyone at ease. Thanks to him and their masterful dishes, a magical, unique and timeless atmosphere is created... absolutely worth trying, you won't regret it!!

Hospitality and friendliness are the hallmarks, as are the authentic flavors of Sicilian tradition. After more than 10 years, we returned to this fantastic, timeless restaurant, and once again it amazed us.

A delightful place. Even though I'm not a local, I appreciated everything about it, from the wonderful welcome to the impeccable service, delivered with care and attention. The cleanliness of the place was another pleasant experience. The food was all delicious, starting with the array of appetizers, each well-prepared and delicious, and then moving on to the two first courses, which were truly outstanding! A place I highly recommend if you're looking for excellent cuisine and a welcoming atmosphere, staffed by people who put their heart and soul into it.

Great home made food, fixed menu but a generous offering and the pasta with mushrooms is the best pasta we ever had!! Little Angelo brings a lot of charm to the service!

An exceptional gastronomic experience. A perfect blend of tradition and authenticity, in a location suspended in time. Pippo, the owner, is more than just a host; he exuded a warmth and hospitality from days gone by. He's the kind of grandfather you'd listen to for hours at a family lunch. If you find yourself in Sicily and want to eat well, you have to go to the La Macchia restaurant in San Marco Dalunzio. The owner, Pippo, offers Sicilian flavors of quality. We had a great time, we will definitely be back... fair prices, plentiful food... ❤️😋

Pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. We were greeted by the owner and his assistant, little Angelo, a volcano of kindness. An excellent culinary experience, blending tradition and innovation!

Everything was delicious, from the 18-course typical Sicilian antipasto menu, to the original and unconventional preparations, which are therefore uncommon even in Sicily. The first courses, with strictly homemade pasta, were excellent. The nettle pasta with a zucchini, eggplant, and mushroom stock cube was truly delicious! Highly recommended for everyone, with many vegetarian options in the appetizers and creamy but lactose-free nettle pasta. Very good value for money. The welcome and ability to advise were equally high-quality; the friendliness made us feel at home! Highly recommended.

I would feel remiss if I delayed any longer in writing this review, and any of you went to San Marco d'Alunzio but skipped this great dining experience. Just steps off the main pedestrian thoroughfare, the owner welcomes you personally and the chef speaks with you to answer any questions you have. We let the owner guide us in our choices. The antipasti all'Italiana kept coming and coming with over ten different plates; the lamb topped the meal off as a secondi. My friend and I each had two glasses of the house wine (he had the red, I had the white), and two hours later we left with a very reasonable bill of about eighty euros. Be aware that the charming hosts do not speak much English, but love their phone translation apps. Know how to use yours as well, and you can find out more about them, the village, and your meal.
