A place out of time. in a small, very suggestive village, the restaurant is run by Carmen and Francesco, very nice people and excellent restaurateurs, their dishes tasty, with a touch always aimed at their origins where Sicily and Tuscany merge. We will definitely be back ❣️

Personale cortese, servizio informale (come si addice ad una locanda), ma attento. Cucina semplice: notevole la Reale con il tartufo, nella media il resto (ci aspettavamo una marcia in più dalla pappa al pomodoro e dalle pappardelle col ragù di cinghiale). Dolci ok. Vini selezionati e buoni, inclusi quelli acquistabili nell’attiguo castello Ginori.

A splendid inn immersed in a gem of a village. We ate very well and were welcomed by Carmen's kindness and Francesco's friendliness! Absolutely recommended, especially for the beautiful view.

Ate here last week. I thought I had reserved this restaurant, but it turned out that there is a restaurant with the same name in Turin🙈. The restaurant was completely full and despite the crowds and the fact that there were eight of us, we were still able to eat there an hour later. Carmen and her cheerful waiter do everything they can to make you happy. The food was delicious and the atmosphere very cozy. In short, highly recommended!

Locanda del Sole is worth the detour. Book in advance because the number of places is limited. You can sit outside on a nice authentic square. The town of Querceto is a hamlet on a hill, parking is available just outside the built-up area, a 5-minute walk uphill. The food is fantastic, refined and prepared with local ingredients. There is plenty of choice here for both meat eaters and vegetarians. If I remember correctly, also a single vegan option. The service is smooth, attentive and friendly. People speak fairly good English and dogs are welcome. More than worth the extra price compared to the pizzeria on the main provincial road. Open from half past eight, but book in advance.

This is a beautiful little restaurant in the atmospheric medieval village of Querceto, serving delicious, refined Tuscan food. Carmen was delightful, greeting us every morning and evening with a smile and helping us with the food and wine choices. Would highly recommend the sharing menu for an evening meal - we especially enjoyed the boar Ragu pasta. Breakfasts were simple but freshly home-made; either savoury or sweet.
