La Locanda del Conte Nitto In Amelia

I absolutely had a blast in here. Amazing traditional Umbrian food, exceptional and authentic location and a very professional and courteous staff and owner. The owner offered us a glass of limoncello and played Pink Floyd on a 70s sound system which made the atmosphere an absolute gem. This is an exceptional place and would definitely come back. Really well done ♥️🙏

I found this yesterday for a late lunch. This is a gem! Do go there and enjoy the ambience, food along with the great service! I loved it and just what I needed.

Vegans, read this review: Best restaurant in Amelia—especially for vegans. The food is fresh and delicious and the vibes are top notch. They have a lot of stereo equipment (but were always playing 80s dad rock when I was there, which is honestly amazing). There is an entire vegan menu, but you have to ask for it. Alicia, the kindest and best server ever, knows about it. Otherwise some of the other servers didn’t seem to know it existed but they were still so accommodating to vegan preferences. I recommend the pinsa vegetariana senza formaggio (without cheese) and add a side of the termana sauce that comes on one of the vegan pasta dishes. The sauce is mildly spicy and delicious. The vegan truffle pasta is also good, but you must like the earthy taste of mushrooms if you order this. Their salads also look very fresh and good. Shout out to Kris, the server from Costa Rica. She and Alicia are some of the warmest individuals I met during my month in Amelia. It’s a small town so when I’d see them out and about, they were so sweet and always said hi and chatted with me and my family. Also, politely ask to view the caves that are under the restaurant…

Very nice place, truly characteristic, and the interior setting is very refined. We ate very well, all the dishes were really good, and the staff was very kind and helpful.

We stopped by chance in the village of Amelia and at this splendid restaurant for a quick lunch. The owner is incredibly kind and helpful. The food is generous and of excellent quality. You can dine both inside and out: the decor is meticulously designed with pleasant background music. Wi-Fi and air conditioning are also provided. Last but not least, we appreciated the attention paid to our dog, who was immediately served a bowl of fresh water given the heat of the day. If you're in the area, stop by for a nice break—you'll agree!

Today, while visiting the town of Amelia, we noticed Locanda del Conte Nitto. We entered and the owner greeted us with a big smile. We immediately realized how beautiful the place is. Tastefully and creatively decorated. The lady, with priceless kindness, seated us. We ordered lamb chops and chicory. Delicious in its simplicity. The price was more than fair. What can I say? Today was a great experience: excellent food and an elegant, professional welcome. Highly recommended.

A refined and charming setting, with a truly magical atmosphere. The owner is kind and friendly, and the food is excellent, prepared and presented with great care. We enjoyed a delightful dinner, immersed in a setting that made us feel like we were in another era. I highly recommend this place for a pleasant time.
