It's always a real pleasure to spend a few days at Locanda del Castello. Massimo is a wonderful and friendly host and a skilled chef. The menu is extensive and excellent. The staff is knowledgeable and extremely friendly. A must-visit!

We found this restaurant entirely by chance. And what good chance that turned out to be!! Wonderful ambience, charming and attentive service, and absolutely beautiful food. Could not recommend it more highly. We are going back for dinner tonight in fact!!

We dined at the restaurant but not at the hotel. The dinner was excellent, though the wait time was a bit longer due to the lack of a chef, but still quite reasonable. To reach the location, you have to drive along a stretch of road in a restricted traffic zone and hope to find parking once you arrive.

The portions are small for the price. A glass of wine for €7 is disproportionate to the bottle price of €19... this is a review of the restaurant.

Pizza It Ciamparini Corrado

15/03/2026: Best pizza place in Chianti. Beautiful wine cellar. Cheap and good pizza. We had lost our car key and the owner came out at midnight to bring it to us.
24/01/2026: Among my favorite pizzas in Gaiole, it's now a weekly ritual to get a calzone and a pizza from Corrado, who always greets you with a smile and a joke, and the pizzas are always hot and ready to go. In the summer, you can also enjoy light, easily digestible, and perfectly cooked pizzas outside.

Antica Locanda Ristorante "La Pietra"

27/06/2025: We spent a wonderful, balmy summer evening on the Pietra terrace, enjoying the drinks (fantastic bartender!). The rabbit with rosemary potatoes was particularly delicious, and we highly recommend the pears braised in spices and wine with ice cream. The mix of locals and an international clientele is quite unusual. We look forward to our next visit.
