We had dinner in Siena for three nights and Locanda dei Tintori is definitely the best place we ate. Excellent food, kindness and empathy from the dining room staff and the manager. The crostoni pecorino and lardo were delicious, the pici and spaghetti from the locanda were super and to finish off the meal the tiramisu was superb. It is a pleasure to eat well, spend the right amount and interact with friendly people. Highly recommended. Fabiola and Fabrizio from Rome

We went to this restaurant during a trip to Siena, we found a comfortable place, qualified and at the same time friendly staff and excellent quality dishes. We wanted to eat typical traditional Sienese dishes and we left fully satisfied! We will return as soon as possible.

We came to taste truffle dishes. We tried ravioli and a "beef filet" - a steak. It paired well with the Chianti wine we had. The dishes were tasty, but we expected more. The same summary applies to the appetizers and deserts.

Mi marido (italiano) y yo (americano) estamos visitando Siena en un viaje por carretera desde nuestra casa en Roma y no hemos podido encontrar una buena comida. ¡Hoy hemos ganado el premio! Este restaurante estaba cerca de nuestro hotel y las críticas eran buenas, así que le dimos una oportunidad. ¡Mamma mía! Pequeño restaurante con encanto en la ciudad vieja con una cálida decoración moderna, increíble comida / vino y el servicio más amable (la mayoría lleno de italianos cuando estábamos allí... siempre una buena señal! ). Nos quedamos boquiabiertos ya que nuestra comida era mejor que la mayoría de las comidas que tenemos en Roma (y todos sabemos lo buena que es la comida en Roma) ! Volví a nuestro hotel y les dije que recomendaran a otros huéspedes... sí, es así de bueno. Aspectos destacados: Crostini toscano, pappardelle con jabalí ragu y filete toscano con setas cocinado a la perfección. Ambos estamos en un coma alimentario celestial en este momento. Grazie per un’esperienza fantastica!

In vacanza a Siena e dopo aver visto le recensioni su Tripadvisor abbiamo prenotato in questo locale. Posto molto caratteristico si mangia bene, buoni gli agnolotti tartufati al burro profumato e tartufo nero, gustosa anche la tagliata di manzo ai funghi porcini, anche se chiesta ben cotta ma arrivata cruda, ma in Toscana è cosi si sa. Promosso nel complesso buono.

Trattoria La Fornace

24/03/2025: What can I say about this TRATTORIA, written in this way because there are many places with the word trattoria but they have nothing of a trattoria unlike the Fornace which has all the requirements to be one from the place - decor - dishes - service - etc. Very few dishes all excellent, reported verbally by two very kind ladies without a menu. Two of us for lunch on a weekday we tasted two first courses of short pasta one with ragù very good without being heavy with a correct amount of seasoning the other with sauce that we found slightly acidic given by the tomato, two steaks that were not far from the Florentine in size with very tender meat with well-done cooking with side dishes of beans plus chips, two desserts made by them composed of a soft sponge cake soaked in alchermes with layers of cream plus cream, water - wine - coffee plus they also offered bitter or other that we did not take. The value for money super excellent. The only advice for those who want to eat at "La Fornace" is to book otherwise there is a high probability that you won't find a place.
