A Michelin-starred experience at an affordable price. Very comfortable location, excellent dishes with refined ingredients and unique preparations. I recommend the spaghetti alla Ungaretti; it was the best dish of the evening! We'll be back in the summer to try dinner on the leafy patio.

We've been waiting a long time to try this place, and we took advantage of it for Valentine's Day dinner last night. Foreword: Limonaia is described as a place striving for a Michelin star (I don't know if that's the management's true intention). After seeing the cost of dinner per person (€130 excluding drinks), I thought, "Well, we can expect a promising experience, to say the least." Unfortunately, however, it was contradictory in many ways, and I think Limonaia still needs to work on achieving its goal of a Michelin star. Positive aspects: very welcoming location, warm interior decor, wood, terracotta floors, soft but never gloomy lighting, an attractive exterior, surrounded primarily by lemon and olive trees, where you can certainly spend very pleasant summer evenings. The music was at the right volume, well-chosen, and the kitchen is open to the public through the main window. Beautiful and elegantly exclusive. Less positive aspects: Three hours for a dinner of two trios of appetizers, a first course, a second course, and dessert. Service was lukewarm, with almost no Michelin-starred attention. After an hour of sitting down, we were still waiting for the second trio of appetizers. A small, silly suggestion from someone who's tried it at a Michelin-starred restaurant: the lack of an amuse-bouche and at least a pat of butter along with the (delicious) breadsticks on the table is a detail I wouldn't overlook, especially if you're expecting me to wait more than 30 minutes for the first trio of cold appetizers. When you sit down, you arrive hungry. Attentive service knows this, and they'll serve you something to nibble on, even in non-starred establishments. An unfortunate aspect that can't be negotiated is the area of ​​Turin where it's located, far from the city center and on the outskirts. Arriving, you'll wonder, "Is there really a place like that in an area like this?" These are matters of personal taste, so relative. Maybe my expectations were too high, but the food was the real contradiction of the evening. I tasted good things (three really stood out in total: the clam soup, the grilled cabbage with mussels and cider, and the chocolate dessert). The rest wasn't bad, mind you, but for my taste, some dishes lacked passion, sometimes courage. The textures were often the same; there were few real contrasts in the mouth. The dish I consider the worst? The Robespierre-style beef "ribeye" with leek, potato, and black truffle tart. It consisted of a small piece about a couple of inches in size, difficult to cut and chew, with a meat sauce full of Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco. The tart had an overpowering horseradish flavor that covered everything, with no gratin to make it even slightly crunchy. The pure meat sauce is already flavorful in itself; in the Robespierre, only cognac and butter are added, it's not necessary. Kill it with other strong or spicy sauces that leave your mouth numb... In short, I don't feel like trashing this place, because I still see research, a desire to do things and diversify, and aesthetic taste. However, I can't be enthusiastic about it; perhaps the themed dinner played a role, I don't know... Perhaps trying it again later will allow me to give a less lukewarm opinion. But for €130 excluding drinks, and traveling around Italy often, I think I know what to expect.

One of the best experiences I have had in Turin, it’s a restaurant that should be visited by a Michelin inspector. Much better than MANY starred I have visited in Europe. Highly recommended

There were two of us, and we ordered four main courses to share, divided into two. First, the smoked calamari (I don't have a photo), which was DELICIOUS, along with the Alba cheese, served with a super pepper and chili pepper mustard, raspberry crisps, and various edible flowers. Both dishes were tops. For the second courses, we chose the raw red mullet, with a fine mayonnaise and a seafood stew. This was the only dish I probably wouldn't try again because it had a very strong seafood flavor. And to finish, we ordered this lamb, the first and only lamb I've ever eaten rare, along with its jouex, its juice, Jerusalem artichokes, and other vegetables. What can I say? It was EXCELLENT; the flavor of the lamb and its juice was SPECTACULAR, as well as unique. We washed it all down with a glass of Nebbiolo, and it was a wonderful experience. The location was refined yet very light and carefree, the cuisine and waiters were extremely kind and helpful.

An evening at Limonaia in Turin was a truly pleasant experience. The staff is extremely courteous and attentive. The quality of the food is excellent, with great attention to presentation. The wine selection is extensive and well-researched. The warm and welcoming atmosphere completes the experience, making the dinner truly memorable. Compliments to the entire staff.

The tasting menu offered is truly remarkable. The quality of the dishes, the selections, everything excellent. The choice of wine pairings for the tasting menu doesn't reflect the quality of the food; little attention to detail goes into this. The restaurant is well-decorated, but some details are out of place, especially the insulated sheet metal ceiling. Given the price tag, the quality of the dining room should be up to par. (Prices are in line with a Michelin-starred restaurant, around €150 per person.) The service is good, but some explanations lack empathy and clarity.

My husband and I visited this wonderful restaurant just before Christmas, and we had such a great time that... we returned again this evening! And, once again, we can confirm everything: delicious food, a true explosion of flavors, carefully prepared and truly memorable dishes. The location is beautiful, but what really makes the difference is the welcome: impeccable service, all the girls smiling, kind, and always available. A special mention goes to the girl with glasses (I think she's the manager): a rare level of customer service that left us speechless. It's true, the bill is a bit high, but it's absolutely proportionate to the quality of the food, the service, and the overall experience. We've already recommended this restaurant to family and friends, and they've fully confirmed our opinion. Highly recommended. Go there! 🍽️✨
