On the advice of friends, I took advantage of the first warm evening at the end of April to have dinner at the Limonaia in the outdoor space. I never expected that, having crossed the gate of an elegant building in a residential neighborhood, I would find a large paved and well-kept internal garden, with two large tables (4 to 8 are comfortable) in beautiful stone recovered from ancient balconies, and other smaller tables, all well spaced; lush and fresh greenery, aromatic plants, diffused and pleasant lighting. The internal room is also very elegant, overlooking the garden as is the kitchen. Although there are quite busy streets just a few meters away, the silence and quiet of the garden, and the arrangement of the tables, created a "private" atmosphere for the diners.
There were 4 of us and we had à la carte dinner. A round of light appetizers, I highlight the fleshy and perfect fried anchovies. The dishes are well-measured and have allowed even me, who am not a "glutton", to appreciate the excellent quality of the raw materials and their elegance. For carnivores: honorable mention to the pink deer, the kid and the hare caps. For those who love fish, the hay crusted grouper was a spectacle. Very rich wine list, staff well prepared to advise those like me who are not super experts. I don't eat sweets so I can't comment, but the ones my fellow guests ordered looked delicious.
Impeccable service, discreet and very kind.
Summary: a surprising discovery, there are no 6 stars otherwise I would give them. Attention, quality at very high levels, and quality has its price, which for me was fair. I'll be back, if it's available I want to try the Perugian pigeon.

Beautiful discovery. Cozy and warm restaurant. The cuisine was above all expectations. Each dish is a delicacy. Impeccable service: courtesy and competence complete the work. Compliments to all the staff and the chef. Highly recommended.

Per scrivere la mia recensione ho deciso di utilizzare le categorie di “4 RISTORANTI”, e quindi:
- Location 7 - In primavera sicuramente 8
- Menù 5
albese con culatello: accostamento non propriamente azzeccato ma soprattutto culatello tagliato troppo spesso
entrecôte buona ma maluccio la salsa e il radicchio
Dolci “tristi”: in un ristorante del genere non puoi a mio avviso proporre della banalissima torta di mele
Buonissimi grissini e gnocco fritto

Non puoi accogliere i clienti senza salutare. Basta un semplicissimo “buonasera e benvenuti” e non un freddo e scortese “a che nome avete prenotato”??? Purtroppo anche il resto del servizio ha lasciato a desiderare. E poi, se posso, i capelli… quell’acconciatura da “desperate housewife” non si poteva vedere

I had dinner at this place with some friends who had heard great things about this restaurant.
I was very impressed by the beauty of the place. Particular furnishings, it almost feels like being in the living room of a beautiful vintage house.
Particular but very successful combinations.
The chef is young and self-taught, but the dishes convey his skill and passion.
This is a demonstration that, sometimes, it is not necessary for the chef to have trained in the court of great renowned chefs.
Cooking is a serious thing but passion and dedication beats any obstacle.
Small note regarding the service, the evening I went to dinner the restaurant (despite the few seats) was completely full and the service was a little slow.
The manager in the room and her assistant, in my opinion, were undernumbered.
However, recommended restaurant!
