A dinner with light and shade at this restaurant. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the service was courteous and attentive, which is already a good start. However, the dinner was a mixed experience: some dishes were truly successful and offered balanced and interesting flavors, while others left us a bit perplexed. The problem wasn't personal taste, but rather the lack of clarity in communicating the ingredients and the logic behind the dishes. In a restaurant of this caliber, one expects a more complete experience, one that encompasses not just technique and flavors, but also narrative and a coherent approach. While I enjoyed some aspects of the dinner, I believe there is considerable room for improvement. I hope the restaurant can work on communication and consistency of the dishes to offer a more engaging and understandable experience. I will gladly return to see if they've improved.

The overcrowded kitchen. Chefs and commissars step on each other's toes. Service with a very talented Manager who is left to her own devices. There are only the ArchiChefs, but the front of house staff isn't given the proper weight. They don't understand that by doing this, they're losing customer attention and most likely a portion of the operating margin due to lower revenues!

A very refined venue with high-end cuisine. Not for those seeking quantity, but perfect for those who prioritize quality. The atmosphere is absolutely tranquil, perfect for an evening with your partner but also for those seeking the pleasure of good company and relaxed, stress-free conversation... while, of course, enjoying original, imaginative, and delicious dishes.

After much discussion, we finally found the time to try it :) First of all, praise for the service: the girls in the dining room were elegant, friendly, and helpful. The atmosphere is very relaxing: warm colors, wooden sideboards, glass tables, and well-chosen music at the right volume (not obvious). Few tables, well spaced apart. The only "sore" point: the exposed sheet metal roof. It's not a serious issue, obviously, but it clashes with the rest of the location, in my humble opinion. Let's move on to the dishes: there's not much to say here, the research is undeniable. The Castelmagno risotto is probably the best I've ever eaten (and I've eaten a zillion of them) :) The Alba steak: a poem of texture with its sauce and its edible flower salad. Finally, the small pastries: delicate and tasty. For less than €70 per person, an experience I would recommend to everyone! We'll definitely be back.

The experience at La Limonaia leaves room for contrasting sensations. The setting, far too artificial in its aesthetic, blends suggestions and suggests a lack of balance, while the choice to leave the insulated roof exposed seems downright daring, clashing with the ambitious setting. The service suffers from a certain coldness and lack of attention. In a setting offering starred restaurant prices, one would expect a more empathetic welcome, and more involved and less mechanical dining room management. The menu, on the other hand, pleasantly surprises with its vocabulary: sober, clear, and devoid of high-sounding technicalities, it communicates the gastronomic offerings with honesty and restraint. A form of humility that, in a landscape often prone to verbal exaggeration, should be recognized and appreciated. On the culinary front, a risotto (Castelmagno d'alpeggio, black bergamot, capers, and lemon) stands out, expertly prepared and with true balance. This is undoubtedly the dish that leaves the best impression. Otherwise, the flavors are adequate, but nothing that can justify the excessively ambitious prices, which in several respects appear out of line with the substance of the overall offering. Another critical note concerns the wine list's lack of options by the glass, a significant shortcoming for a restaurant that should favor thoughtful and accessible wine pairings with individual courses. Ultimately, La Limonaia is navigating a shady identity, where the project still seems torn between being a signature bistro, an elegant trattoria, or an ambitious restaurant. For now, what it conveys is the image of a refined trattoria, still searching for a fully defined soul.

Excellent. In the cuisine, the wine list, the professionalism of the service, and the kindness of all the staff. We return every year and each time it's an experience that continues to amaze us, especially when we indulge in the tasting menu. It's one of those places we like to recommend to friends, confident they'll enjoy it. The price is fair.

I've been numerous times, and the dining experience is always fabulous: refined cuisine, perhaps not for everyone, but sublime. The service (the younger ones) can sometimes be a little too attentive in checking to see if the dish is finished.

A magical atmosphere and tranquility complement a delightful dinner with surprising flavors. A special mention goes to the Castelmagno, Bergamot, Lemon, and Caper risotto. We'll be back! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Everything was delicious: refined dishes, a well-kept restaurant, and impeccable service. I don't understand why it doesn't have a Michelin star yet.
