Ristorante carino, ambiente semplice ma con atmosfera intima. Non ha più la stella ma non è indispensabile per avere qualità e un'ottima esperienza, anzi.
Molto simpatico lo chef Saporito che questa volta è uscito a salutare e presentare il menù. Personale gentile ed è un vero piacere, consiglio una delle tre proposte degustazione per vivere un'esperienza. Molto buono il piccione, molto buona la pasta con i calamaretti spillo e il caviale.
Bella anche la carta dei vini, molto ben presentata.
Sempre piacevole la visita post cena al piano superiore per vedere una mostra che periodicamente cambia, oltre alla vista dalla terrazza superiore che toglie sempre il fiato e fa tutto parte di questa fantastica esperienza che non si limita soltanto a tavola.
Dal Duomo è una passeggiata di circa 15-20 minuti, passando dal ponte vecchio.
Super consigliato.

We were pampered at 360°, nothing was missing: friendliness, professionalism, good food and good wine... all surrounded by a breathtaking view!!!!!
The scope of the dessert with the dome of the Duomo was terrifying, I was sorry to eat it 😊 congratulations indeed!!!!!

My experience in this beautiful place was like a dream. I went for San Giovanni, patron saint of Florence, for which Chef Filippo Saporito created a dedicated menu. The amuse-bouche was delicious and sophisticated, but with the red prawns from Mazara in potato and vanilla foam I let myself be transported above the cathedral of Florence. Followed by the historic terrine of livers which has made its way into this kitchen for more than 10 years, revealing the love of careful and long preparation. The cappelletti stuffed with financiera showed me a difficult balance between mountains and seas. The sliced beef, for me as I'm not a meat lover, was so soft that it looked like foam. The dessert was like eating a work of art that only photos can make you imagine. At the end, a delicious pastry that I wish I had more space for. But my thanks go to the guys who followed me and my partner. Young, prepared and enthusiastic about the work they do. All qualities that are difficult to find today in starred and non-starred restaurants.
Bottom line: Legend of the Friars far exceeded our expectations and we are intrepid of how Chef Saporito will make us dream again for the fall season.

Certain experiences certainly leave their mark on the memory of the 5 senses, not only taste but also smell, touch and sight have found full satisfaction in this experience.
The Chef and the entire team take care of every dish and the detail of every service with extreme attention.

La Leggenda dei Frati was so much better than we expected and if you like good food you have to consider this location. We made a mistake of walking as our hotel was close to the river in Florence and did not realize the restaurant is up on the hill. We were lucky enough to eat outside gives you a great view over Florence. The chef presented us with a signed, dated copy of the menu and spoke to us for some time. they have a choice of 3 tasting menus and an al a carte option. We chose the 7-course tasting menu, where the chef chooses the dishes based on your preference. We had the table for the evening so the whole experience was not rushed. They have an extensive wine list, and the sommelier was very knowledgeable and helpful. Each dish was explained in detail by the serving staff. The meal started with beetroot that really set the scene for the rest of the evening, in that you cannot imagine how simple ingredients can be turned into something truly special. Even the desert in the shape of the dome on the Duomo was memorable. To finish we were taken upstairs to experience a unique view looking down on the dome of the Duomo. We have visited several Michelin rated restaurants, and this was one of the best dinners we have ever had. If you have time while in Florence do check this out and do not be put off by being outside the town center.

Magical place and superlative dinner. The combination of dishes and wines is amazing. Without fear of contradiction, it is undoubtedly the best restaurant in Florence. Chef Saporito is a very lovable person, his wife and his staff are equally kind and all very professional. You deserve a nice 10 and praise. Compliments.
