Simply wonderful.. great food and affordable price.. excellent service

At Latteria San Marco, time has just stopped! The place is magnificent, a typical Italian decor of yesteryear, the staff super nice and friendly. You shouldn't hang around too much because the place is in high demand so long chats after a meal should be avoided (you'll be called to order by the owner, just to leave room for people queuing to enjoy their delicious dishes), but the menu is worth the detour. The “Spaghetti al limone e peperoncini verdi” was a pure delight! The “carciofi ripieni” too. Nice selection of desserts, the chocolate, cream and raspberry tart was light as a cloud.

Amazing food, environment and service

Pochi giorni in una Milano natalizia e un immancabile giro per locali storici come questo ristorante che da sempre per la sua unicità è preso d’assalto da i milanesi e non. Gestione familiare che ancora per un po’ farà da guida verso una nuova proprietà pur mantenendo inalterate abitudini e ricette. Si mangia velocemente in un ambiente piccolo e fascinoso perché una lunga coda di attesa si accalca dentro e fuori in strada. Ciò nonostante il personale è cortese e affabile con quella giusta determinazione che le regole non si cambiano e la “carne cruda” non va girata e il contorno si mangia dopo. I gettonatissimi spaghetti al limone sono l’emblema della semplicità pari bontà e lasciarsi sfuggire il dolce sarebbe un peccato. La Latteria è un salotto fra amici, è la sala da pranzo di nonna, è casa e si mangia come a casa. I prezzi , un po’ da gourmet, bisogna capirli perché infondo non è da tutti mangiare e godersi uno spettacolo forse unico in una Milano sempre più frenetica e futurista. La Latteria o la ami o la odi e vi consiglio di amarla perché merita veramente.

Recently just reopened since the closure few months ago. Safe old dishes and same friendly services. Spaghetti with peperoni and lemon, pailard with fassone press meat, meat balls, bottarga salad and foie gras are my go to dishes.
