My absolute favorite restaurant in Milan!!!

A restaurant famous abroad. Special dish: "Spaghetti with lemon, garlic, oil, and chili pepper"... good, but I won't order again.

The real old Milan, the one of childhood memories and the flavors of home.

Overall, it was an interesting experience to visit a place frequented by locals. The atmosphere was like being at an Italian's house. I just thought they'd be more welcoming. The waiters were reluctant to speak English, tried to take our unfinished dishes away four times, and finally, the hostess made it clear it was time to leave because there was a line. We were already getting ready to leave, but I imagine many people would be upset by being shown the door. The food was tasty, but not particularly impressive. I liked the lemon pasta, but it was very greasy, and the carbonara had nothing but butter and a bit of pancetta instead of sauce. The wine and cheese were delicious. I doubt I'll come back or recommend it to friends, but I don't regret my visit. However, I doubt this place needs recommendations or tourists; judging by the reviews, they do everything they can to keep foreigners away from them.

Simple but high-quality dishes. The menu is overpriced, especially if you're there for a business lunch. The place is small, seating is limited, and it's very noisy. The friendly lady in the dining room is a real winner.

The lemon pasta was great, but one of the servers was quite rude to me. He was kind and welcoming to the other folks, so I wonder if it’s because I’m Asian, American, a young girl dining solo or if he just picked me as his target of the day. People have been so kind to me in Milan so this was pretty disappointing.

There are many local customers, and the atmosphere is simple and relaxing. However, I honestly had doubts about the balance between the quality of the food and the price. The pasta only had a small amount of sauce on top, and the waiter told me to mix it myself. I don't mind that it wasn't fresh pasta, but the sauce didn't stick to it at all, and it was a little overcooked and not even al dente. So, 18.5 euros per plate seemed a bit too expensive. Perhaps it's priced for tourists. Also, I was a little confused when I was asked for a tip when paying by card. It may be good for people who value atmosphere, but it's hard to recommend for people who want to enjoy the food.

A cult following amongst locals. High energy, fantastic food and good value. If you can get a table - no bookings allowed - it is a must for local and authentic food.

I was lucky to get a table at this "Must Know" in Milan, simple and delicious food, very very friendly service, I highly recommend this place for its products grown by the chef and the simplicity of his know-how. Thank you Latteria for giving me this wonderful gift.

The food was very good and we liked the locals-focused atmosphere, but it is expensive for what you get.
