La Lampara In Cattolica

Tried it after seeing some very good reviews about the pizzeria, but it wasn't anything special for me. I had a marinara pizza and a seafood pizza, both good but nothing more. One observation: wherever I've eaten seafood pizza, they've always brought me a small plate to put the shells on. They didn't bring one here, so I had to make do with a small bowl containing hand wipes. For fruit, we had pineapple chunks served in a glass and watermelon (two small, thin slices). The much-requested veranda is nice, but with the sandstorm they had to close some of the sliding windows, and the heat soon became noticeable. It certainly made things worse for those who were dining on the beach at the time. Prices were average. July 3, 2026 Update - Tried to book by phone because the online service isn't working. The first call drops midway through, the second seems to go through. However, at Lampara they can't find the reservation, but they give us a table anyway given how few people there are. I ordered the Cattolichina pizza, which in previous years was one of the few I liked, but found it covered in flour, with little fish and a lot of onion. In my opinion, it's a much worse pizza than it used to be. On the other hand, sitting at the table on the veranda, I was half blinded by the sun. You have to be lucky to get a table on the street side of the veranda because if you end up on the beach, I recommend wearing sunscreen and sunglasses for eating.

The staff were welcoming and very kind. During busy times, there might be a wait. I appreciated their apology, but I already knew they were doing their best. However, the wait was worth it. My tuna tartare and spaghetti with clams were truly delicious, and to top it all off, the sea view. So (as Alessandro Borghese would say) my rating is DIESCI! 😊

Nice place, but the quality/price ratio isn't always good.

A decidedly positive experience. The dishes were a real surprise: both the seafood carbonara and the spaghetti with clams were exquisite, and the fried fish was light and crispy, even if the portions were a bit small. What made the evening even better was the warm welcome. Our waiter, Alessandro, served us with great professionalism: you can immediately tell when a waiter is well-prepared and loves his job. Highly recommended!

Very nice place to eat dinner, as you have a great sunset filtering into the restaurant.. Even though you pay cover charge you don't even get and grissini or bread... Fair wait to eat, and some pizzas were wrong.. They offered to remake them but we didn't want to wait so jokingly they said to put some maionese on top, and you won't tell the difference, humorous i guess... I think it could be the worst pizza I have had, very crisp and dry and skimping on ingredient quantity... but that comes down to personal preference.

Excellent little restaurant overlooking the sea. Modern atmosphere, with pleasant music and plenty of space. 🍝 Fish-based dishes include many first and second courses, including classic pasta with clams. The pizza is also excellent, almost "Roman." Impeccable and fast service. The bathrooms downstairs are a bit old-fashioned and cramped. 💰 Average prices: first courses around €15, while pizza is a bit cheaper.
