High-quality products, very tasty first courses with a focus on traditional cuisine (scrippell mbuss and chitarra with Teramo-style meatballs were really good!). Wide selection of meats. For vegetarians, fried pizzas, soups, and scrambled eggs with truffles are excellent options. Overall, everything was great! We were all satisfied!
It was a challenging meal for the restaurant owner with so many small children, but I must point out that the waiters often forgot about us, so we had to get up to ask for something or make ourselves noticed... they could have kept an eye on us every now and then.

“In the heart of L'Aquila's historic center, there's an osteria that will make you fall in love right away: truly excellent food, made with love and genuine ingredients, and a staff that's kind and welcoming like few others! 😊 They make you feel at home from the moment you walk in. If you're passing through L'Aquila, you absolutely must stop by—you won't regret it! 🥂”

It's a charming place in the center of L'Aquila, where I enjoyed excellent carpaccio and excellent pappardelle with saffron and artichokes. The service is good, and the quality/price ratio is excellent.

An unforgettable evening at Grotta di Aligi
On Wednesday evening, I shared dinner with colleagues at Ristorante Grotta di Aligi in L’Aquila, and it was a truly memorable experience. A welcoming atmosphere, soft lighting, and attentive yet unobtrusive service: the perfect place to gather and enjoy.
We began with a selection of local cured meats and cheeses: fragrant, balanced, and carefully presented.
Next, a warm and enveloping chickpea, chestnut, and mushroom soup, rich in authentic flavors.
The first course, a chitarra pasta with ricotta, guanciale, and pecorino cheese, won everyone over: a perfect harmony of softness and savory flavors.
The braised veal in Montepulciano was tender and flavorful, accompanied by potatoes and sautéed chicory that complemented the dish impeccably.
And to finish, a light and delicious cream of fresh fruit, served elegantly.
Sincere thanks to Mario, the owner, for his passion for his work, and applause to the entire staff, especially the lady who welcomed us with kindness and attention. You can sense the teamwork and the desire to make every guest feel at home.
Highly recommended for those seeking a true local cuisine experience in a refined and convivial setting.
