This hotel is in a whole fine, the staff are friendly and helpful, the location is great, but it's let down a little by the tiredness of the building itself. I stayed for a long weekend recently, and feel a little money needs to be spent on the rooms and access areas. Our room was a decent size, and had the benefit of a balcony to enjoy the view, but the shower head had been previously repaired with what looked like tin foil and wire, so you couldn't move it, which made showering a little difficult. The fridge in the room was broken, it was actually hotter in the fridge than the room. The aircon was excellent, needed when it's 35+ outside, and the beds comfortable. The access areas passed the lift was dark and uninviting, we even got back one afternoon to water running down from the floor above, but this was fixed by the evening. The  location of the hotel is excellent, close to the station if you travel in by train, and about midway between the colosseum and trevi fountain, so a good central spot for a stay.

Okay, initially we were disappointed with our room! However, they resolved the issue the same day and it was great! Economy rooms do not have windows. So, don't book that! After expressing our concern they immediately resolved our issues and we not only had a window, we had a balcony!!! The room service is the best. You'll never get room service this good. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Great place, great location! Phenomenal location.

Excellent location just steps from Piazza della Repubblica, with access for external events on the 9th and 10th floors. The atmosphere is elegant, but marred by neglected details: exposed antennas, damaged plaster, rusty railings, and uneven flooring. The awning was dirty and rusty, and inside, despite the air conditioning, the temperature was stifling. Service was good and staff were friendly. The food, however, was disappointing: unremarkable finger foods, except for the parmigiana; sticky risotto; and tiramisu with an overly eggy flavor. Prices were medium-high, but the quality didn't live up to the location.

The hotel is in a wonderful location, albeit hidden. The staff is friendly, and the room was clean. Some amenities could be improved.

Just perfect, like real holiday at Rome from the movie

Classified as 5 stars but in my opinion in other cities it would be a superior 3 star or 4 star. The standard room has a very small bathroom. Excellent breakfast, very rich and varied, both savory and sweet. Pleasant view from the terrace on the top 2 floors. Excellent location on Via Nazionale to reach the center on foot. Only sore point: the poor information that was given to me by phone by the girls at the reception to reach the parking lot on Via del Viminale 3 where we left the car for 2 days. The entrance to the parking lot is in an ancient brick tower with a papal inscription in marble and a marble arch WITHOUT A SIGN so it is really a challenge to find it. The parking manager never answered the phone calls and messages sent....we went around the block 3 times before we managed to understand that that was the entrance to the parking lot....in the traffic of Rome it was a nightmare and we lost an hour going back and forth.

Be aware, it’s 3 stars hotel the most, not even close to 4. There is a Miami pub across the street, they play loud music and karaoke after midnight every night!!! we were suffering for 5 nights…. But if you can sleep very deep and don’t care about the NOISE (just wondering why co cops to stop them)

El servicio de restaurante y la comida era increíble! El personal salió a montar una mesa incluso cuando estaban llenos. Abrieron la terraza de la azotea y pusieron una mesa para mi esposa y yo. Proporcionaron calentador exterior y nos hicieron sentir cómodos proporcionando cojines para nuestros asientos y lámparas de mesa haciendo nuestra noche romántica y especial. La comida era de primera clase y atendía a mi esposa que no come pescado o carne. Recomiendo este lugar.

Where do I start with this hotel. Firstly this is definitely NOT a 5 or 4 star hotel. More like a 3 to 3 and a half star hotel for what most people would say. It is situated in a good spot . Train station nearby and collusium in walking distance. On first appearance as you walk through the front of the hotel you think how nice with the roman statues on either side you think it is going to be perfect but our room was on the 8th floor and so was our daughters room on the same floor. It was so noisy . The restaurant is on the 9th floor so at about 7am in the morning and also of early evening the noise starts with the moving of chairs and tables but I'm fine with that as I am always up at that time but most people who are not up at that time will not be able to sleep peacefully. Also if you want to watch any TV first thing when you awake FORGET THAT as the channels seem to be all in italian or let's say the TV has NO ENGLISH channels . Our daughters room her TV did NOT even work and the noise from the bars were ongoing all night. The rooms are very clean and cleaned every day. You had tea and coffee in your rooms but NO milk. There is NO iron NO conditioner if you want to wash your hair only have Shampoo and body wash. They have a mini fridge inside one of the cupboards below the tv, beware not to touch the drinks and water inside the fridge as you will be charged for anything from that fridge , which is normal in most hotels unless you are all inclusive. NOW on to the bed, oh my goodness me I have NEVER stayed in a hotel where I have not slept not even comfy for 1 night. This has got to be the worst bed I have ever slept on. The beds are so uncomfortable. I had to use the spare quilt that was in the wardrobe to put under the sheet of the bed to give me a bit of comfort on my body but still the hardness of the bed was just too uncomfortable to sleep on in our room. Maybe in other rooms the mattresses were different but in room 820 it was too uncomfortable. The bathroom had a bath with the shower being inside the bath and not separate . On to BREAKFAST , it was just ok in my eyes . Scrabbled eggs or boiled eggs and fatty streaky bacon that was what you got from a English breakfast. Then you got alot of different tart cakes and brioche buns and croussants and bread. Cheese, salami ham. Yogurt and fruit. Cereals and different soft drinks and coffee.i have to say the coffee latte was so nice. Now on to Rome itself. Rome is such an amazing city. I would definitely come back here as it's so beautiful. To venture out and eat try and not eat in the centre as it is more expensive and I found being italian myself the food was more authentic and better in the outer part of the city being in the centre area the food wasn't as authentic was still nice but not like mamma used to make and also so much more expensive in the central areas then down the back street areas. So we went to get a galata (icecream) and it cost us £10 each for a nice cone icecream . So look around first as we just went to the first icecream place which was right near the trevi fountain we went to buy one and came away spending £10 for each coned ice cream, but a few doors down from this hotel was an ice cream shop which was £3 for a cone so the difference in central areas to the outer areas are so much different. Also be careful on the road as here in rome the cars have the right away on any road. If you want to cross a crossing like we do at home please also be careful as some roads in rome the cars still seem to come across the zebra crossing. Make sure the green man is showing before you try to cross but still some cars and motorbikes will still carry on through so be careful. Some piazza areas to visit and sit and enjoy the food and fountains and life are Piazza di trevi and piazza santa maria trastevere and there are many more but the prices are expensive in these areas. There are other piazza areas which are also very nice . PLEASE BE VERY AWARE pick pocketers are everywhere in rome especially in areas where their are crowds.

The hotel staff were very pleasant and attentive to our requests. The hotel is very well located, it is also very clean and easy to access. The welcome was perfect, as was the breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised by the little attention found in my room on my birthday and for all that I recommend the hotel. Once again a big thank you to all of you for this magnificent stay.
