La Greppia del Frate In Locorotondo

I have never tasted raw mussels and are really tasteful and fresh like nowhere else. Pasta and fish soup is the dish you cannot forget after having tasted here.

Fantastic food. Fresh and excellently cooked fish. Fantastic fried octopus. Broad bean puree with sublime prawns. Really good Orecchiette with turnip greens. Very welcome open kitchen. Very kind and professional staff. Nice environment. Free parking next door. Spent the right amount. Really excellent and will return.

We stopped at "Greppia del frate" by pure chance, we saw this very nice little place while we were reaching Locorotondo. Even though it was very late, they welcomed us anyway and gave us the opportunity to have a bite to eat... You don't know how lucky we were! In fact, saying that we had a wonderful time is an understatement, the wine was excellent, the food even better, the staff was super friendly and kind to us! Wonderful experience and one I recommend to everyone.

Definitely a nice place with open kitchen so far nothing to say, good welcome, good raw meats but... my raw meat was missing 2 walnuts, I had read the menu which indicated 4, anyway it's my fault because I didn't say it so it was probably an oversight, but I don't accept black prawns, however it must be removed since it is the intestine, dip with mussels very good... the frying is a sore point, I understand that it says mixed but put the squid as hard as the stones and an Argentinian prawn with all the carapace and intestines, this too is not good in my opinion, because since it costs 18 euros I expect some rings of squid and the cleaned prawn, given that the rest of the frying was 2 red mullet 1 cod and some other fish, probably small sardines... the photo to show that the 2 nuts were missing... anyway it's not to offend anyone, it's just my opinion...

Cena fantastica!!! Pesce freschissimo, servizio eccellente e simpatia da vendere ( Tony e la figlia del titolare top!! 🔝🔝🔝) !! Abbiamo preso crudi, fave e cicoria, cavatelli, moscardini fritti...tutto ottimo!!! Entrati in confidenza, ci hanno offerto un baba' alla.panna e amarene che parlava!! ...e bergamotto, un limoncino alle nespole e amaro alle erbe senza limiti!!! Inutile dire che quella che doveva essere una cena veloce per poter visitare Locorotondo, si è protratta fino alle 2 scherzando su cibo, pesce, locali e tutt'altro!!! Anche i nostri vicini di tavolo stupendi!!! Il conto?? Onesto per la qualità e quantità dei piatti!!! Consigliatissimo!!! Ah!! Un saluto a "Paquale"!!! Isabella

Wonderful place, fresh and ventilated. Extremely fresh seafood salad, properly cleaned prawns. Spaghetti with lupins, measured in the balance of taste, abundant and delicious seafood. The highly trained innkeeper recommends grilled octopus, two roses arrive scented with oil and coals. A delight of softness and taste. Followed by sorbet and coffee, all of excellent quality. Perfect service, fast and discreet. To visit and revisit.

L'Olimpo del piacere a tavola. Tra gli oltre 100 ristoranti che conosco, qui siamo sulla vetta più alta. Superlativo in tutto, dal servizio alla qualità dei piatti. Il Paradiso esiste.

Lovely place to relax and enjoy beautiful food. I had the prawns and almonds, and fettuccine and vongoli. The desserts were great so make sure to leave some room.

May 1st global chaos, restaurant full as an egg... only one waitress!... having said that, excellent food... recommended fish, given the service, €3 cover charge was high. There is no question about the friendliness of the staff who worked miracles.

Fabulous dining experience. Cozy atmosphere, fresh and delicious food, impeccable service. Friendly and approachable staff. The proposed seafood lunch was nothing short of delicious. Absolutely worth trying!
