Very nice place and authentic, well-cooked food... the wait for the dishes was a bit long and it was a bit messy. A few small touches for top marks next time. See you soon.

Here you can find authentic, certified Chianina beef. A well-maintained restaurant, very attentive service, and excellent quality dishes. If we're ever in the area again, this will be a must-visit. Highly recommended for those who want to eat well, the prices are proportionate to the quality of the products served. P.S.: Even though it costs 78 euros per kilo, in Florence it costs even more. Make the effort and enjoy a delicious Chianina Fiorentina steak; you won't regret it. Nicola and Silvia.

Absolutely blown away by the Autumn menu. Chef Cecilia has somehow identified, isolated and recreated the essence of a crisp autumn morning. Translating it into a multitude of expertly crafted dishes, each one invoking a deep yet delicate sense of nostalgia. Osteria LA Gramola has been the most rewarding culinary experience of my life. Thank you to every member of the team. Your work truly is precious.

Lovely place, the only restaurant in the heart of tavarnelle that is a bit more “refined” and doesn’t serve just the typical Tuscan dishes. They currently have a great autumn inspired menu: mushrooms, pumpkin, chestnuts etc

I joined the Truffle Hunting experience with lunch at Osteria La Gramola last month, and it was an absolute highlight of my trip. The morning truffle hunt with the local guide and his two adorable, friendly dogs was such a unique and fun experience — and we even found truffles! Afterwards, we returned to the Osteria for a delicious truffle-themed lunch and the food was tasty and well presented. The restaurant is run by a lovely couple who make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Their warmth and hospitality really add to the charm. I couldn’t recommend this experience more — whether you come for the truffle hunt, a meal, or both!

We were warmly welcomed, the food was excellent, and when they found out it was my husband's birthday, they brought us a slice of cake with a lit candle and offered us some excellent sparkling wine. A truly wonderful experience.

After a long travel day, we couldn't find the entrance but they nicely let us in through the garden door, sat us right away and we had a wonderful meal! They were lovely hosts and the food was fantastic. We probably overstayed our dinner but they let us finish our wine quietly while they started cleaning. We really appreciate their service.

08/03/2026: Fabulous food, great cocktails and a big suprise from this micro bar and eating establishment. Christian, the young owner, took on the task of this great little place not far from the Ponte Santa Trinita (Bridge). As we walked up from the bridge it was up a street on the left just off the small Piazza Della Passera. We were off to eat at the Piazza but spotted Carro Matto, heard laughter, great 80s music and popped in. It's very small, well equipped and has a couple of tables outside Christian welcomed us and gave us sound advice on what to order. Great English, sound advice. The menu isn't huge. No deserts. Just as well as by the time we are their fabulous pasta dishes we were full up The cocktails and happy hour were a bonus. It was soon full of local people. Christians uncle prepared and sliced meats and food too Such a friendly family concern. We had a lovely couple of hours. Please give this local chap the opportunity to show you a genuine side of Florence. You know my reviews are never biased. This was a big suprise in a small package and excellent prices.
08/12/2025: We found Carro Matto by chance, and it was a winning move! The Schiacciata "La Divina" with caramelized onions, fig jam, lard, and gorgonzola is highly recommended.

21/11/2025: This pizzeria offers a different promotion every day, which is sure to please your wallet. The appetizers are delicious, the desserts are superb, and the pizza gets top marks! Finally, a good, light, digestible, and above all, quality pizza, whether you order it in or take it out. It doesn't get rubbery like it often does...Well done, guys!
