Excellent food, highly recommended the rabioli with pear, the Fiorentina steak and the tiramisu

We had dinner at this magnificent restaurant just last night. Everything we ate was excellent. The fillet!!! Never eaten a fillet like this. The impeccable service, not to mention the owner tooooppp! Super recommended

European speaking here. La Giostra offers decent food and good service, but it feels like an American tourist trap. While the dishes are enjoyable, they don’t justify the inflated prices for the area or the quality offered. Overall, it’s overpriced for what it delivers, and there are undoubtedly better, more authentic dining experiences to explore in Florence.

Quite possibly one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been in life. And I‘m a traveler and a a foodie. The ambience is Beautiful and perfect for a romantic setting or a chill Dinner with friends. I dined by myself and still had an amazing Experience. The staff were very polite and friendly and extremely efficient. The food was served with no delays even tho the Place was bustling on a weekend night. Coming to the food, I ordered the pecorino and pear ravioli and the Ossobuco. Both the dishes were melting in the mouth and had subtle burst of flavors! They have a wide selection pf wine pairings and cocktails. Vegetarians have ample options to choose from for every course. Reservation is highly recommended. It is a must-try in Florence no matter how short your trip is! The high prices are totally Historien for such a culinary experience.

Before booking I read the reviews... to the negative ones I have to say that the prices you see displayed outside the restaurant are there and so if it says tagliatelle with Tuscan ragù with the price close what do you expect??? I spent a nice evening in a very nice atmosphere (despite the quantity of people), I ate food packaged with top quality materials, I drank a good glass of wine... I was served by a kind and knowledgeable guy and I met the owner of the place: a character ❤️.. note of merit to the pear and pecorino tortelli (one more wasn't bad 😛). Amazing wine list. As for the tagliatelle with ragù: they reminded me of my GRANDMOTHER ENRICHETTA ❤️

Really good Tuscan menu. The house wine is great for the price. Highly recommended in florance.

Amazing restaurant, expensive but worth it!

I came here very last minute due to all the reviews I read and since it was also highly recommended by my airbnb host. I ordered the pear and pecorino ravioli and the tiramisu. I see a lot of people saying the food is mediocre - false, this is extremely refined well cooked food but i doubt that everyone has the palate to appreciate the subtlety of the flavors. The ravioli was a perfect blend of cheesy with a delicate hint of fresh sweetness from the pear AND the pasta dough was THIN and perfectly cooked which i haven’t had the pleasure of having anywhere else while I stayed in Florence. I also had the tiramisu for dessert: light, airy and subtle alcohol twinge on the end note. I personally prefer my tiramisu on the creamier side but I do believer their version is the traditional conception. I went on the tail end of my trip but wouldn’t hesitate to go again should I return to Florence!

This was my second visit to La Giostra and my family's first. They loved it as much as I did. It is fun, lively and with a unique atmosphere. They were very nice to expand our table when it was a little cramped. They bring you a beautiful plate of appetizers and all the food is amazing. The cheesecake with hot fudge was my favorite dessert but they were all good and our server was so sweet and nice. In our top 3 of places we went this weel!
