La Giostra In Firenze

I came here very last minute due to all the reviews I read and since it was also highly recommended by my airbnb host. I ordered the pear and pecorino ravioli and the tiramisu. I see a lot of people saying the food is mediocre - false, this is extremely refined well cooked food but i doubt that everyone has the palate to appreciate the subtlety of the flavors. The ravioli was a perfect blend of cheesy with a delicate hint of fresh sweetness from the pear AND the pasta dough was THIN and perfectly cooked which i haven’t had the pleasure of having anywhere else while I stayed in Florence. I also had the tiramisu for dessert: light, airy and subtle alcohol twinge on the end note. I personally prefer my tiramisu on the creamier side but I do believer their version is the traditional conception. I went on the tail end of my trip but wouldn’t hesitate to go again should I return to Florence!

This was my second visit to La Giostra and my family's first. They loved it as much as I did. It is fun, lively and with a unique atmosphere. They were very nice to expand our table when it was a little cramped. They bring you a beautiful plate of appetizers and all the food is amazing. The cheesecake with hot fudge was my favorite dessert but they were all good and our server was so sweet and nice. In our top 3 of places we went this weel!

I booked La Gisotra after seeing it all over Tiktok & we weren't disappointed. Ambiance ✨️ The ambiance was lovely with the twinkly lights all over the roof! It was a very romantic setting. The only negative I had was that it was a wee bit tight between some of the tables so you felt a little bit packed in, but it was still fine. Food / Wine The food was lovely & the bottle of wine we had was fab! We went last April so I can't remember the name of what I had, but it was lovely! Service The service staff were attentive even though it was really busy and we didn't have to wait too long for our food. I'd definitely recommend it - you absolutely need to book! I booked it in the October for our trip in April to make sure we weren't disappointed nearer the time.

Excellent food, very nice place, very kind staff

Food was mediocre at best. Pear ravioli had a gummy pasta wrapper and the schintzel while laughingly large was devoid of flavor. Best thing we ate was the melon.

Buratta was fabulously beautiful. The portions were large and delicious, we went without a reservation, we waited for 15 minutes and were taken to a nice table. The owner is very popular, many people take photos, and despite this popularity, they do their job without compromising on quality. I definitely recommend it.

Food is amazing the apple tartin dessert was amazing!

Optimism food and environment. Long queues waiting to take seats. Only note: limited spaces. Only regret: not having tried Fiorentina - €150 for 2 people…
