La Giostra In Firenze

We were in Florence for 5 nights and went to this on the last night. We definitely saved the best for last. The restaurant is gorgeous. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The wine selection is extensive however we opted for cocktails. We had raviolis, the fried artichokes (not to be missed), the beef with rosemary and garlic and to top it off tiramisu. Our bill came out to 140+\-. Make a reservation!

I had a friend who recommended La Giostra to us. We just moved to the area and decided a bit of a celebratory dinner was in order and this place certainly did not disappoint! The interior design is warm and inviting, it feels lively yet intimate at the same time. Staff was kind and attentive to our needs. They brought us a bit of a sample platter which was so lovely. We enjoyed 2 appetizers, and 3 different entrees with our group and all were delicious. The pricing was incredibly reasonable especially for a group of 3. We had the opportunity to meet the owner and what a fantasticly interesting individual! We deeply appreciated him taking a moment to chat with us and answer some of our questions and learn more about him. He is truly a storyteller and has a warm and inviting personality that really makes you feel more like a part of a family than just a customer. I am eager to bring family and friends when they visit and stop in again for a meal in the future!

Nice, it was overhyped. It's good without being exceptional. But it's good, there's nothing to complain about.

The place is romantic and good ambiance but that’s about it. Service wasn’t bad. Prices were insane. Food was quantity over quality and best suited for stereotypical American tourists (i.e. large portions, super rich carbonara which undoubtedly had >4 egg yolks). Prices are crazy for the quality we received. €25 for a zucchini, tomato and eggplant carpaccio? Insane. €15 for a glass of white wine? Crazy

The place is beautiful, with a romantic and relaxed atmosphere. The food is good quality and the portions are adequate. The only downside is the slightly high prices, sometimes unjustifiable.

The place has remained the same, even as time goes by. A varied menu with numerous dishes, including fish options on Fridays and Saturdays. Crispy, well-topped pizza.

I arrived when the restaurant opened and I ate my myself withiut a reservation, but I'd definitely recommend making a reservation as they had guests waiting for my table when I left. Great ambiance, decor and friendly staff. They can accommodate all allergies very well. The portions are huge so pace yourself if you want a primi and secondi. I'd have preferably shared the veal as it was too much food after the pasta. They also had a surprise welcome dish of chicken liver with artichokes, which varied across tables.

We loved the space, the ambiance, and the amazing food. When we return to Florence, we'll definitely be back! The explosion of flavors deserves a review!
