La Giostra In Firenze

Impeccable vibes, staff and food. First of all our waiter Valentino was perhaps my favorite of all time. He was kind, funny, fast, and attentive. The food was incredible, I knew it would be as I visited this time last year and had an amazing meal. Pear ravioli, wild boar pappardelle, schnitzel, their steak and everything on the menu is delicious. Owner is awesome, ran into him on the streets today and took time to ask about our meal. He is an epic dude!

Had my birthday dinner here and it was the perfect vibe! The food was amazing, we had pasta and then filler mignon after which was delicious. The wine was also great and the ambience was so charming and looked great in the pictures!

the vibes and staff were nice. but the white truffle carbonara is not worth 40 euros, and i feel like the staff were talking it up because it was the most expensive pasta. i was asking different servers about the pasta vs one of the risottos, and the first one described the risotto as bland and talked about how flavorful the pasta was. i asked the second server “what do you prefer? the white truffle pasta or the-“ and before i could even ask about the risotto he cut me off and just said “white truffle pasta”. when i got it i was a little disappointed because although it was good, it was not good enough to cost that much and the way they were hyping it up didn’t make sense.

We really liked the place and service! It's a wonderful restaurant, we were served by Paula, who provided us with a delicious experience.

Amazing food and service! We got the boar ragu and the florentine steak and both were fantastic. We finished with the tiramisu which was the best tiramisu we have ever had in our lives. The waiters are extremely nice and friendly which made the experience even better. Highly recommend if you are in Florence.

Lovely restaurant! I had no reservation, and they were fully booked when I walked in, but I was able to enjoy a glass of wine at the bar while I waited for a table to open. They brought over a complimentary appetizer sampler. The ambiance was romantic, and the food was amazing.

I came here very last minute due to all the reviews I read and since it was also highly recommended by my airbnb host. I ordered the pear and pecorino ravioli and the tiramisu. I see a lot of people saying the food is mediocre - false, this is extremely refined well cooked food but i doubt that everyone has the palate to appreciate the subtlety of the flavors. The ravioli was a perfect blend of cheesy with a delicate hint of fresh sweetness from the pear AND the pasta dough was THIN and perfectly cooked which i haven’t had the pleasure of having anywhere else while I stayed in Florence. I also had the tiramisu for dessert: light, airy and subtle alcohol twinge on the end note. I personally prefer my tiramisu on the creamier side but I do believer their version is the traditional conception. I went on the tail end of my trip but wouldn’t hesitate to go again should I return to Florence!

This was my second visit to La Giostra and my family's first. They loved it as much as I did. It is fun, lively and with a unique atmosphere. They were very nice to expand our table when it was a little cramped. They bring you a beautiful plate of appetizers and all the food is amazing. The cheesecake with hot fudge was my favorite dessert but they were all good and our server was so sweet and nice. In our top 3 of places we went this weel!
