La Gazza In Roma

I had dinner with my dear friend a few nights ago. The restaurant looks very nice, both inside and out. The outside is very well-kept. Initially, we were outside for dinner, but at a certain point a heavy downpour arrived and we were forced to move inside. The staff responded promptly and with great professionalism. Unfortunately, inside, we were seated at a table next to the bathroom entrance. She says the dividing wall isn't full-height, and we often got waves of various unpleasant odors, which are never a good thing during dinner. I ate very well. I'm not a fan of thin pizza, but this one was really well-cooked and made with good-quality ingredients.

I visited this restaurant a few weeks ago for lunch with some friends. It had been a while since I'd been back, even though I live in the area, because the last time I'd had a pizza, I wasn't convinced by either the dough or the ingredients. I must say, however, that the lunch experience was completely different: the first courses were exceptional and incredibly fresh (there's a lady who prepares the fresh pasta in front of you, which is a real added bonus). We started with mixed fried fish: delicious, dry, and without any oily aftertaste. Afterwards, we each chose a first course. I had the linguine with lime, mushrooms, and stracciatella: simply exquisite. My husband opted for the ricotta and spinach ravioli with mashed potatoes, equally delicious. The prices are a bit high: for a mixed fried fish appetizer and a first course each, we paid €25 per person. However, the quality of the first courses makes up for it. A truly enjoyable lunch.

Homemade pasta and bread, good portion, presentation and good price, for dessert I ordered tiramisu and I loved it.

Excellent dishes of all kinds. Recommended.

Good food, short waits between courses, fair prices

Simply excellent... homemade pasta... quality meat... fantastic sautéed chicory... excellent pizza... fast, friendly, and welcoming service... and for when you have to limit the wine... ask for the "bottle" for adults 🤣... excellent selection of half bottles...
