La Gasthaus Colognola In Bergamo

11/05/2026: Someone else, in the same situation, wouldn't have given it five stars. That's exactly why I'm giving it five stars! It's Saturday, a beautiful day with lots of people in the Upper Town. Around two o'clock, we're feeling a bit hungry and, more or less by chance, since we were right there at the time, we decide to stop inside Ol Baretì. We choose two Govi ​​salads and are immediately told that they've run out of grilled vegetables but that they can make them on the spot if we have the patience to wait about twenty minutes for them to prepare them. We decide to stop to take advantage of a break. Now, I don't know how long we waited, probably a little longer than expected, but it didn't matter because we were relaxing and didn't put any pressure on ourselves. The salad was good and the vegetables, of course, hot and crunchy, but the best part was the attention and kindness, not due or even requested, when it came to paying. I usually never publish receipts, even when I find a store over-the-top, because I find it wrong. In this case, however, I'm happy to do so because it's fair, both for the size of the discount and for the reason: I'll give you a twenty percent discount (actually, it's even more) because we made you wait so long. Beyond the discount, which is clearly appreciated, what I liked and want to highlight is their ability to approach customers and not take everything for granted or due, something that has been rare for far too long now. I thank all the guys at Ol Baretì and wish them well and good luck. Well done, well done indeed!

02/04/2026: Less touristy, yet very centrally located, friendly and attentive staff. Would gladly stay again 😊
